    Hello all,

I purchased the kit from Shane and it worked great and looked great. I recently got rid of my taco unfortunately and I still have the whole kit. I am wondering if someone on here would like to purchase it off of me for a considerable discount?

I have the sony GS head unit, steering wheel controls adaptor, flat black sliding iPad mini dash piece, and all parts and accessories that came with it. I had a 2014 tacoma and this kit fit/worked perfectly. The whole kit was right around $800, I'd be willing to resale it for $400.

    Thanks

Will your kits fit the iPad mini 4 or just the 3?

I've been told by 3rd party customers that they fit the iPad 4, but I use the 3 to fabricate the kits, so I can't guarantee that it will fit the 4 at this time.

I don't make these for 1st gen Tacomas at the moment.

    They're going slowly but surely.

Nothing worth showing yet, really I have all of the parts on hand and printed or ordered. A few straggler orders that needed to catch up to the others were placed late, so that slowed things down a bit and I got tasked with doing all of the CES prep at work last minute, so that has been taking up a lot of my free time as well. I'm getting them done as fast as I can while not compromising quality, though!

I'll post some pictures once the kits are assembled and primered.

Yeah, I am selling these... I recommend an iPad Mini 1-3 with a retina display.

Do you recommend Gps or just hotspot my phone? I heard gps one actually has gps service when your phone doesn't for navigation purposes...
How much is your kit? And it brings everything?

I've been using my iPad 3 while I wait for my kit to be finished. I have a 128gb wifi only and I use a garmin GLO for a GPS receiver by blue tooth hook up with the iPad, and garmin street pilot for navigation. Works flawless without cellular service. If' I need internet or need to DL maps or somthing for the other apps, I just turn on my phones wifi hot spot to connect the iPad tothe net.

I will have to look into that gps unit. Is it just a Bluetooth antena you connect then?

Yeah basically, connected with the iPad it's spot on accurate. The garmin app is 50 bucks and you have to DL North American maps before you can use it for navigation. It's more accurate and has 100% better screen resolution than the small garmin unit I was using previously. Even announces the street names better than a dysfunctional droid.

Thanks drew! I'm sold :) just need to get me a kit now! I have an iPad mini 1st or 2nd gen that's wifi. Feel better about not having to buy a new one now :)
Then again I might just get a new mini anyways for the retina and more memory. How much do these kits go for? Do they include the Sony head and wires to make the steering wheel controls work with the iPad?

The trim kit is $445 and I think the Sony radio with harness and steering controls is $380. I'm sure Shane can clarify pricing and options. A lot of good info the the first post.

Yeah I read it briefly while at work and never went back to read it all the way through. Stupid on my part. Doing it now.
One last question if you or anyone happens to know? Do the mode and up down buttons do anything as well?

Thanks for helping captain taco out on this drew!

That pricing is correct but $380 for wiring / radio portion can change based on vehicle features. @Captain Taco send me an email or PM and I can get you more info.
