Now I've got a boner for totally overdoing lights on my truck. I've got these lit candy canes I could put on the rack (wide ones, not the cheap thin rounded ones). I wonder how well an inflatable santa would ride at highway speeds on top of the rack LOL

I found a set of 100 LED button lights on a string with a small solar panel. I may switch from my garland to that. It was like $14 on Choxi.com and they turned on right out of the box once I hit the power button! They held a charge through shipping and processing a the warehouse. Super bright and they can also flash and whatnot. The panel is really small so it could be velcro'd to the tonneau or something- mounted on the rail of you're running an open bed.

I've ran them since before Thanksgiving. Everyday for about an hour a day. Still going strong. 3 AAA batteries. There small LED icicles so batteries should last a long time.

These icicles were around $5 at Wally World which i thought was badass. Inexpensive as hell.

Road ready! Total cost ~$6 for 24' stream of lights and plastic (removable) hangars from WalMart.

    Thanks!

I used these (purchased for $3.50 from Walmart):
    http://www.command.com/3M/en_US/com...-Clips?N=5924736+3294529207+3294737335&rt=rud

I ran the clips along the edges of the bed on the flat surfaces where the rails meet the top. 4 clips on each side, 2 clips behind the rear window, 2 clips on the tailgate. They're very sturdy and nothing shakes in the wind even at highway speeds.

I was going to go the tape route, but wanted something that was removable without the worry of residue. I'll edit this post later with a picture of how I attached them.
