My four favorite weapons:

Violent .50 Sniper - +25% damage
Le Fusil Terribles (silenced drum mag combat shotty) - +25% damage
Deliverer 10mm - 10% reduced AP cost in VATS
Kellog's .44 - criticals restore AP

I have 10 perk points in rifles and non-auto pistols so they wreck. Can 1-shot alpha deathclaws in the glowing sea from sneak with the .50

 

The only diff with me is I have the named laser from Paladin Dunce in place of Kellog's. Modded like crazy.

I took the same perks, plus gun nut and science are maxed and I took sniper and ninja perks too. I can oneshot legendaries if I see them far enough away. Bloody awesome.

 

Oh I made Righteous Authority a Laser Shotty.

 

I went for lone wanderer (+25% damage) and bloody mess (+15% damage) as well. Going to pick up mister sandman (increased damage with silenced weapons from sneak) after I get armorer leveled up for power armor mods even though I never use power armor. My build is all about max damage.

 

I have righteous authority with an overcharged capacitator, improved sniper barrel, and the improved beam focuser it has like an 8 shot clip though.

 

Yeah. I use it as a shotty because of it's vats perks. A critical with a shotgun laser is a sure kill on almost anything.

 

Yea thats kinda disappointing in reduces mag capacity. I keep it with me as a general rifle with reflex sight though. My favorite is my 10mm pistol that does 25 bleed damage. Just put a clip into an enemy and watch them wither away while you start shooting another.

 

I've been thinking about putting the improved beam splitter on it though considering I have enough mid range rifles to carry, it'll be more for close proximity. I always liked that feature from fallout 3 so trying to keep it cannonish.

 

Also put a powerful auto receiver on my old realible since 20 DAM isn't enough with .38s now so I needed to compensate for an auto gun. And holy shit.

 

I've barely played any fallout in the last 48 hours and haven't played at all in the last 24 hours. I think I'm having withdrawals. I been singing Atom Bomb Baby all day lol

I mothballed my game at 60 and restarted

I've only now gotten out of the Vault and down the hill to Sanctuary/Red Rocket. I'm still scrapping and cleaning up the two...I'll have them built out and secured before I even go down to Concord and grab the Minutemen to start the Sanct population.

Then I'm going full crafting/population building/shopkeeping in this game, and I think I'll do the BoS quest line this time. Going to go Big Guns and automatics and energy weaps as opposed to sneaking and sniping this time.

I got the full first shelf of my bobblehead cabinet filled in my last game, I wonder how many I'm happen across this time?

 

Finding Graygarden early opens up being able to buy " shipments of whatever " which is a bonus for settlement building

 

What are the shipments, anyways? I saw them on some vendors but never bought any. Are they different than the regular mats? Or is it like getting a better price for buying in bulk, like a Fallout Costco?

It's actually more expensive than just buying items with the parts you need, but the quantities are much bigger in shipments which is hand for major upgrades.

 

I just harvest all my food and purified water and trade it for shipments of concrete , cloth and wood

 

Wow, have you harvested the big island in the SE of the map for wood yet. Tons there. I've never needed to buy anything other than adhesive, aluminum, and copper. I think I bought some oil one time...

Then again, I'm sure your towns are truly epic given that you hit the limit cap often.

Once your settlers numbers get up a bit over-plant food and assign settlers to tend to the crops , plus put in a bunch of water purifiers then you can just make a fast travel shopping trip through your settlements picking all the food and taking any spare food and purified water from each workshop , stop at Graygarden , pick all the ripe food there , trade it all to Supervisor Greene for shipments of concrete etc

I built a concrete block wall all around Greentop Nursery , best part about concrete walls is you can travel on top of them or build on top of them . Can't do that with junk fences

 

It sounds like Oz likes the settlement aspect more than the actual game.
