    When you order, you will agree with them that the truck will roll off the truck, go through PDI, and then be parked on the lot and not test driven. That's an agreement you make with them. If they fail to meet those agreements, you tell them to give me more of a discount of I'm calling the BBB, this is California and we have verbal contract laws.....

    Just logged in to check my eta, build date was pushed to 12/15 and showing an eta of 12/24. Better not get pushed anymore it was supposed to be here on the 14th. Told my fleet rep it better have a giant red bow on it when i come down.

    Finally got a permanent VIN today.:dancingbacon:

    Build date was supposed to be 11/17,just got built yesterday 12/9 (MX). Dealer Daily now says port processing. I'm hoping 3 weeks it should arrive here in the n'east.

    I'm going to contact my dealer right now and see what Dealer Daily says... built date is TOMORROW!!

    Build Date is still tomorrow and no other info is available in Dealer Daily

    My build date was still showing 11/17 all the was through this morning. Everyone at the dealer said they've never seen this happen before. Called several other dealers who confirmed there's been no back orders and also say they have no idea what's going on. Sucks it's 3 weeks late and I'm moving on the 20th cross country but at least I know it's built.

    My friend works in Fleet at a large socal dealer. She said the Tacoma's Dealer Daily status was tracking very slowly when she followed a few through the pipeline

    Wait is over, picked up my 2016 last night. Black Sport Tech pkg, Tonneau, Tow. I only have it one day but, nice truck.
    I took one that was allocated to the dealer I reserved it back in Oct. the build date was 11/21 and I picked it up 12/10, this is in North East Pa.
    I will post some pics when I get a chance.

    Manual is nice. I live in Seattle, lots of hills, and no problems. Road trip - does well in 5th and 6th gears at highway speeds, got 18mpg in the pouring rain going up I5 from portland (decent but not crazy hills)

    Oh I mean the quality of the manual.

    My second gen manual is very "truck like", so I was wondering if 3rd gen manual has been improved.

    Miss seattle. Lived 2 years there (Belltown).

    Feels just like my Jetta TDI, short throws and clean engagements. 'Feels' a little less torquey, need to rev up the engine a little when engaging on hills. TDIs have massive torque at the low end, though...
