I'm also worried about doing that to many times because my buddy said that if you leave it disconnected to long, it can hard reset the computer and can mess with the shift points since i have an auto tranny.

It is believed that is a misprint when they say intelligent tester. It should say sst wire.
The intelligent tester I believe is part of of the 1/2 steps where you would use a computer to zero and recalibrate
You do nothing to the wires themselves and yes it is the obd2 port

Disconnect battery over night while you sleep. Yes the shift points may reset, but its not a bad thing. You do the recalibrate for the VSC two ways, either with the intelligent tester or with an SST if you don't have an intelligent tester. SST can be paper clip or some wire.

    Blow it through the roof
I had the exact same issue, the driver's side wire appears to be long enough for everyone, its the passenger side that seems to be the short one. I had to extend the wires, once plugged in, had to go to vato zone and get the codes cleared then it was fine. Been running it for 2+ years now with the extended wires all good. Dont pay the dealership money to clear codes, get one yourself off Amazon, they are cheap or take it to an auto store that'll clear them for you.

I noticed that auto zone now puts up a fight to clear codes. Had an alignment done a couple weeks ago, the guys set off a lot of sensors cuz they had to knock mud off the truck, same codes as when the lines pulled out from the BL. Autozone refused to clear codes, so I rented the tool from them, did it myself then returned the tool. I am thinking about buying one to no deal with other people again.

i even took it to the auto parts store and they said they couldn't find any codes on it so it's probably a dealership thing

I got a 4 banger taco that i went with 5100's all around. I installed it myself and i happened to damage a abs sensor wire only. I got a replacement on ebay oem genuine toyota really really cheap. I installed w my friend just plug and play and i have a obd2 scanner that clears codes. I managed to clear the code and once i started the truck the light was gone. This abs sensor wires are very fragile.. If they get strech in any way the inner wire snaps and the wire is no bueno. Hope this helps
