Anzo/Ebay Halo projectors - Output/pictures - ASAP

Output pic in last post - I will not be buying these.




Anyone have any pictures of these installed?

Debating on these vs some stock headlights.

Interested in seeing the output & some more pictures.

I found one thread when @RearViewMirror had them on his 05-11, but i'm looking for a head on shot on multiple trucks if possible.

I've searched here, and on Google and haven't found much.

I wanna see light output too! I am planning on getting some but changing the bulbs to led and having the halos colorshifting

 

I'm curious too. I tried to open the headlight to do a HID retrofit and completely screwed it up. I no longer want to do it.

 

The first truck pictured was my old truck. Don't waste your money. Light output was meh at best.

 

What's your definition of meh? I know they won't be like retro output, but was there a cutoff/decent amount of light. And was that with a HID kit or just the stock bulbs when you had it?

 

Just the bulbs that came with the lights themselves (non-HID). I forget what type of bulb they use in them but for the money they are more for looks than they are for light output. I would say that you get about 2/3rds of the light output of stock headlights and the cutoff isn't what I would call great. More of a "V" pattern instead of a straight line IIRC. It's been about 3 years since I owned that truck but I recall not being very impressed with them. Definitely not worth the money and IMO and are more for looks than anything. Your results may vary.

One other thing I forgot to mention... Mine had a tendency to fog when the temperature changed. Such as if it were relatively cool outside and I had the parking lights on (which is what activates the halos) and turned them off... the lights would get condensation inside right above the halos. Never affected anything and after the temp in the lights was the same as the outside temp it would go away. More annoying than anything.

 

Which brand of them did you have? The ebay or anzo? Usually I'll run a bead of silicon around the seal before I install any lights to help with the moisture problem.

 

Anzos. I don't think a bead of silicon will help with the condensation problem with these lights. They were sealed very well. It's just the nature of these lights... or so it seems to be.

Just wondering, why don't you like your retrofits?

 

They're adjusted as high as they can be(light output doesn't shine far enough) and i'm too lazy to have to take them back apart and redo them.

 

I understand, I'm looking at a similar model for my 15' just dont want to waste 500$ then realize i should have saved for some expensive retros. Somebody is bound to have bought these and taken output pics...

 

Wherever you buy from, make sure they have a decent return policy. Try them out and if they're not to your standards, return them.

 

i went with the spyder lights.... i can say the stock H1 halogen bulb that comes in them sucked big time for output. i swapped them out to HID's relatively quickly. that was the plan from the start. low beam side was easy. the high beam side, the mounting plate for the bulb has to be modified if you put HIDs in them. from a safety aspect, its probably better to leave the H1 halogen bulb in the high beam side. the warm up period for HID's in the highs can cause issues when switch over to them. no real light output for a few seconds.... kinda dangerous at highway speeds. did a HID swap for a friend on his older Chevy. he went the all HID route. quickly realized that he needed a modification done so he didn't lose light output when switching.

 

That's crazy, I plan to run HIDs in them as well. Thanks for the input. I think I may order them and give them a chance.
