Is there a lift that is within the same ball park as OME,as far as 'true quality',and not jeopardizing the integrity of the drive line/suspension down the road, and within the same price range? I am tempted to pull the trigger on one of these 2, since I really don't want to wait for OME to correct the 2016 issues with their current lift...although I will if nothing is 'as good'? Input would be appreciated.

what are these 2016 OME issues you speak of?

^ He's likely referring to the rear shock issue at the lower mounts

I've heard both sides to OME, some love it, some not so much. So unless you have taken a ride in an OME equipped rig I wouldn't treat it as an optimal solution.

I haven't heard too much feedback on the BOSS system, although it was designed to incorporate the better features of Bilstein and OME combined. Lots of love for 5100's + OME spring combo too. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, just make sure whatever system you end up getting has good warranty, I think Bilstein does lifetime still?

Have you thought about what diameter of shock body you'd like? If 2.0 is good enough for you I would pay a little more and go for the FOX 2.0 coilovers. If you would like something a little more beefy, then the Bilstein 6112 would probably be a good solution for the price. These options are a bit more expensive, but the benefits the come with outweigh the cost in my opinion. Good luck!

I am quoting a previous thread I wrote.

The basic reasoning for this is the 16's are higher (Then imagine throwing a heavy winch bumper on top of that),and no matter what numbers anyone is coming up with after they install the lift, I will say again, "Supposedly your not getting the full potential of the lift",sure you can install spacers and whatever else to come up with the height/numbers,but your not getting the full potential of the actual suspension lift itself...and if you do throw a winch bumper on your truck later, you may be in for a surprise immediately or down the road. Just talked to ARB this morning just to see when they would have the issues fixed, he said, "if they have supplies from their shelves that they can use, it will be a fast solution, and the kits will be sold with the update possibly within the next few weeks...but,If its something that has to be made especially for the 16's,then will be later in 2016 (February-April...rough estimate)". They have a fella flying in from Australia tomorrow, who is going to assist with the BP 51 and any issues, and said the the BP 51 will be ready for a go on our trucks March/April. Sure, many folks on here are making the OME lift work, but I personally feel more comfortable spending my money on an updated OME lift specifically for the 2016,and therefore will wait. Like I said though, call ARB and hear it from the horses mouth 425 264 1391. You can also call 4 wheel parts or another reputable company, and see what they say about it.

It's universal to 'All OME suspension lifts/parts" to my understanding.

So the gist of this is that some people arent getting the full 3" lift I take it? I will say I am def. thinking about getting those BP 51's when they are released even though i just purchased my OME lift, Im sure i could sell it for good money and those would be a very nice upgrade. All in all i dont see any issues with mine as it pertains to ride height but I also dont have a lot to compare it to nor experience so I guess its a wait and see kinda thing for me.

I'd say stick with talking directly to ARB, that will be your best bet over talking to the comp mentioned above. From feedback and personal experience they are clueless with most things and their focus is on primarily on products like ProComp, which they technically own.

Thanks a bunch for the info. I would get a little fancier with the Fox,but I don't really need an elaborate suspension lift. I just need something practical for off roading that will take some what of a beating, getting to some good/tucked away 'forest' spots, yet be able to drive myself and my family around daily, without jeopardizing or causing me to have to do much maintenance to the my truck over it's lifespan (changing the geometry, stressing stock parts already installed,CV's...etc). I wouldn't lift at all,but I like a beefier stance than stock, and 'will' put a beating on the old truck from time to time.

Only reason I am leaning towards OME is because of their long, reputable name in Australia. If another one of these companies is just as reputable,or 'better' than OME,I don't mind going with them?

From what I hear OME is a bit stiff with the 886's,which is what I am accustomed (last truck a Power Wagon),so I don't mind that.

Makes sense. If you got your full lift out of your OME thats awesome. ARB is telling me the numbers are hit and miss from one truck to the next, which is a bit weird (Is Toyota not producing every truck the same or what).

I would get the BP51,but once again,a bit more than what I need.

So far 4 wheel parts always shoots straight with me,and seems to know better than trying to sell me Pro Comp stuff. They actually got on the phone before I did with ARB,and clarified the issues with the 16's. They were the second 'face to face' whom told me to hold off until all was 'zeroed in' with the hiccups (the first being my snug top installer...also versed in suspension and mechanics). Your right though, always better to hear it from the source.
