What a relief to find this website ! I just phoned local dealer for the negative cable, can't believe it but not really surprised at Toyota of America : $597 plus tax !!!! incredible. Does anyone know who makes after market cables ? Otherwise will remove old one, measure and look for one with same pigtail to fender.

That must have been with the $550.00 dollar installation fee.

The best hi grade copper strand 2-4 ga. hi temp wire civilians can buy is not more that $10-$20 a foot. My industrial grade crimpers only cost I think about $100, the changeable forged steel crimping molds only cost maybe $35-$45 a set (size and shape). For less than those a-holes want to charge you, I can crimp, scrimp, scamp, tab, scab, and flab about any wire and connection I have ever needed for my house wiring, truck wiring, tv/sat wiring, car audio, etc... Any wire connections you need to buy will cost you less than $10-$20 each. So you could buy crimpers, a couple sets of die's, and the wire and connections you need to do your repair... for what, like $200 max. Then, the fun part, you get to keep the tools to! Tell the dealership to screw off :)

$597 for a wire, that is ridiculous! Plus tax... well thats just an old fashion kick in the old chestnuts, lol!

LOL, I think that wire was removed and replaced within the first 3-4 hours I bought the truck anyways!

I'm sure they quoted you a price on a different part.
