My TPSM started blinking when I was driving. I took my truck to a national chain Tire Store and they replaced 5 Tire Pressure Sensors (Spare also). They went through all the programming steps and were unable to reset the low pressure light (which at this point is now solid NOT blinking) They kept the truck overnight and still were unable to put the light out. They removed the NEW aftermarket Tire Sensors and replaced them with Toyota Sensors and still were unable to put the Low pressure light out. Anybody have any idea's? They were using a Snap-On Tool electrical device to program the TPSM. I'm going to take it to Toyota in the next couple of days to see if they can figure it out.

There should be a button on the dash far under the steering wheel. I think you hold it for 5 seconds or so.

So what is the lowest tire pressure the system will recognize? If they are all at 25 psi - will it accept that? Or is the system designed to be at some fixed "lowest allowable"?

It's been a long time, but I remember one winter where it was extremely cold overnight...my light came on and it was due to the spare (I have an 07). I believe it was 20psi variance.

Test it.....let some air out and see what happens.

FWIW..... A lot of peope scoff at the importance of these sensors. Well, I can honestly say that these sensors probably saved my ass. I was on the highway...sensors came on. I was like..What the hell? I got off at the next exit and was able to park the truck in a parking lot. Got out...and witnessed the tire go flat right in front of me. I can only imagine the damage I would've had on the highway trying to pull over.

Same with me. They are not designed to replace an air gauge, but to give drivers an early warning in the event of a rapid deflation. In 2011 I was returning to Ga after a couple of weeks camping in Colorado. Driving across Oklahoma at about 75b MPH my light came on. I pulled to the shoulder ASAP to find one tire already flat. I ran over something that put a 1/2" hole in one tire. It was good having the last of the air go out at 10 MPH instead of 75 MPH.
