I have done mine and 2 other sets. I will be helping derekabraham paint his. I will help you as well. Should only take about 3 hours.

 

Need to make sure wheels are really clean and wiped down with acetone. Then i would take some 220 or 400 to rough up the original paint then spray with some high quality rattle can. If they are polished alloy wheels acetone wipe them then good primer and high quality rattle can.

 

05prerunner has done it the guy hosting it, and im pretty sure he can show you how its done and help you along the way.

i have the stock sport wheels so hopefully this will work. do you have a suggestion for a good brand primer and paint? and how many cans do u think? im thinkin at least 1 per wheel.

Maybe we should all chip in and buy a dedicated toaster oven/ table top oven so we dont stink up someones house and oven used for food with the 30 headlights that are going to be there lol

I've got some of the bedliner for you JD.

 

I used rustoleum primer and rustoleum black wheel paint. Perfect color in my opinion. I used one can per 2 wheels. So 2 cans of primer and 2 of black.

Then if you want to spray gloss you can. I didnt because i like to touch them up.

 

probably two cans of each (primer and paint) Duplicolor makes a good paint thats pretty chemical resistant and has an awesome applicator. the good paints are pricey, you get what you pay for. I have done pro painting at my pops body shop but all my stuff is in NY

ill be getting back into it. Turning my garage into a paint booth. PPG makes some bullet proof military spec paint just as durrable as powder coating and i can do some painting for people. Glass fenders too...

I would've done it for sure but I understand where Noe's mom is coming from. I was going to just help open and reseal everyones Headlights. You guys could've painted your own headlights any way you wanted.

Anyone near the area of Buena Park can House a BHLM afterwards? That can be an idea or we could just set up a strict BHLM Mod Day.

I can pull these headlights apart and reseal very easy now. I've done around 7 BHLM already.

I'm bummed as I thought I'd have my KINGS Front and Rear Suspension ready for install. Then NOE would have his suspension. GRRRRrrrrrr
