Ok I have been reading a lot of posts as I wait for my truck to be delivered so I figured I'll throw my deal in this mix. I played the internet "let's make a deal game" for a month with local dealers in Wisconsin looking for a 7544a, TRD OR DCSB 4x4 with HH premium tech no JBL, mud flaps, and tow. One dealer sent my a quote for $31985! Knowing that was amazing i drove there that day to order it. "Oops" they made a mistake and would not honor that price, bull shit! After an hour of giving him crap about misleading me we settled on $35,116. MSRP $37750. Ok deal? Not as good as the original quote but not bad. It's being built on 12/11 and hope to get it before 2016.

2000 off isn't bad, but I have been 'seeing' people 'claim' that they are getting around 4000-5000 under MSRP in the North East. One guy posted pictures of his paperwork which confirmed 4400 under MSRP but none of the others have shown facts.

Your deal looks like about 2000 under MSRP. That's good in my book for a nonrare model

Not directly but I work in the industry. I deal with all manufactures so we belong to fleet programs that gives us sometimes insane pricing.

I cropped out my personal info and signature, but that is my purchase agreement PDF'd directly from the dealer I am purchasing from. I've stated elsewhere on the forum that DC has an 8+% tax on vehicles over 5k lbs gross weight (sucks). but the sales price is decent for this area and compared to truecar.
FYI: TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB BBP, tonneau, tow, P&T no jbl, d-rings, all weather matts/sills.

Live in DC, purchased in Northern VA.

    Give or take...

I can't speak to how many have been ordered in my area here, but I can say that they haven't been staying on the lot at the dealer I ordered from. This is also the highest volume Toyota dealer on the east coast for sales, which is why I heard they get better build scheduling than some smaller volume dealers in more rural areas. sure it depends on the order as well. Haven't seen very many on the road around me yet though, little surprising.

Another tidbit - my dealer took a $500 deposit to hold the truck I ordered, guaranteed fully refundable if for any reason the truck comes and I don't like it. They know they will sell it, probably for more than I am paying, especially with the popular build I ordered. That won't happen obviously. It's MINE.

Here in Canada (Calgary Alberta), just ordered my 2016 TRD Sport double cab, with premium package. Asked them to also throw in the bug deflector ($250CAD)….MSRP was $45,290 all in, made a deal for $42,500….pretty happy so far.

Also posted in Canada thread but here it is again: I guess it's official, I've got a 2016 on the way! I made the deal a couple of weeks ago and I talked to my salesman today and he said that they were able to order my truck within their allocation, it should arrive in February. The wait will not be fun but this is my first ever brand new vehicle and I didn't want to make any option or colour compromises.

(Note that prices are in Canadian dollars) I ordered a Double Cab Short Box V6 4x4 TRD Sport with Upgrade Package 6MT in Blazing Blue. The Canadian trucks include the towing package, both carpeted and all weather floor mats and I think locking wheel nuts too. MSRP is $37,955 plus the mandatory fees of $1870 ($1730 Freight, $100 A/C tax, $29.95 Tire Tax and $10 OMVIC fee) Dealer invoice is $35,107. I got a $2000 discount from MSRP (or $848 above invoice, if you prefer) purchased for $35,955 plus the $1870 fees and sales tax. I would have loved to get them down a little more but I am still very happy with the deal. I sent emails to every Toyota dealership within 100 KM and the two best quotes were within $1 of each other. Tony Graham on Merivale quoted $500 above invoice plus a $349 admin fee (i.e. $35,956) but would only do a courtesy trade/ transfer of my current truck if they did an Ontario Safety on it and wanted to charge a second $349 admin fee. I purchased from Mendes on Bank partly because they agreed to do a courtesy deal on my current truck, as is and with no admin fee. (Courtesy deal = I sell my 2007 truck as-is to a private buyer but on paper, I trade the 2007 in to the dealer and the dealer re-sells the truck to my private buyer. The way that tax works in Ontario there is no cost difference to the private buyer but it saves me over $2000 in tax on the 2016 truck.)

If anyone in the Ottawa, ON area is looking for a new Toyota, I had a very pleasant experience dealing with Russell P (Internet Lead Manager) at Mendes Toyota. He gave me a competitive quote right out of the gate, always responds immediately to my emails (even on his days off!), has 30 years experience in the business and is genuinely nice to talk to. If you'd like his email or phone number, feel free to PM me.

Been reading on this forum for a few months, just decided to create an account to post. Went by dealer today and was able to work out the following and wanted some input before pulling the plug.

2016 Tacoma TRD OR DCLB, 4x4 AT
    Inv/MSRP
    31,814 / 34,340

    Pre&Tech with JBL
    2,701 / 3035

    Towing Pack
    579 / 650

    DPH (In Georgia)
    935

    Total = 36,029 / 38,960

Dealer stated invoice was 36,900 (guessing 870 TDA?), then 37,350 before TTL.
    -$1K for AD Military = 36,350

    Tax (7%) 2,582.93; Title 18.00; Tag Fee 120.00; Filing Fee 25.00; Lemon Fee 3.00; Doc Fee 549.00
    OTD total would be 39,552.93

I have a car I will be selling vs trading in which can give a little more wiggle room (potentially) if they give me a good value; otherwise, I have private buyers lined up.

I am happy with the $450.00 over invoice but not too sure about the ?870 TDA and 549 documentation fee. That's 1,420 going straight to the dealer's pocket.

Thinking about offering $38,500.00 OTD with TTL.

Will probably be buying sometime next week and wanted to get thoughts/opinions before then. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the threads on this forum and have learned a lot. Actually new a hell of a lot more than the original salesman showing me the vehicle before dealing with the sales manager.

Thanks in advance for the advice/thoughts.
