    It's trickle down. Oil and agriculture are the primary industries from which new money enters the province to drive construction, services, etc etc.

    The local GM, Dodge, Toyota, and Ford lots are filling up with trucks... no buyers when people know times are getting tougher.

    Just a thanks going out to Telus. I had my Sony die in a silly accident yesterday and the insurance company I paid only $80 for two years ended up upgrading me for free to a newer phone. I loved my Sony, but this rugged S5 active makes me smile. I can't wait to get a new SIM for it and try it out (my old SIM doesn't fit, wrong size).

    Exactly. When I was in Fort Mac I didn't work for oil and gas, I worked for a construction company building infrastructure and without expensive oil nothing is being built. The 5% (or 7%) is probably just those that work directly for Suncor, CNRL, Imperial Oil, etc.

    ya, unfortunately that kind of stuff happens when every idiot has the means to voice their opinion on a public forum.
    it was kind of unclear if those comments were actually posted in the comment section or if they were submitted and axed by a moderator.
