I'm still open to going actually! Shit I was keeping an eye on the thread from my phone and didn't realize Devin can't make it. It's a bit late, but is anybody still wanting to head up to the pass?

I've been thinking all week about going as well. Are you guys still planning on going east of the pass? I was just thinking about going somewhere this side of the pass, though I know there isn't as much to explore. I went up Tinkham a couple weeks ago, Exit 47, south side of I-90. It's only a few miles to the top where it ends, but the views are nice. There was only a few inches of pack, so I needed 4WD but it was easy, but it could be more interesting now that there is some fresh up there. Anyway, just throwing it out there for closer/shorter options.

That area usually gets hit with idiots in mini vans out getting their trees this time of year. :dunno:

I was pretty much just planning to hit the north side of I-90, back tracking from stampede exit to gold creek.

I've been checking the dot pass cam most of the day today. Didn't look like it snowed much if any at all today. Right now its says there is a "light rain". That could change to snow here in a few hours.

It's definitely family christmas tree time, and that FSR is the main one people go to. It's usually only bad the first couple saturdays after thanksgiving, and quiet by now. I actually went up the saturday after thanksgiving, and it was a zoo. It's only bad though until you hit the snow line and the majority of them stop there, and then it's not busy at the top.

Where you guys are talking about going definitely has a lot more options though. I may make it, I'll text Will in the morning and let him know to watch for me or not. Sounds like a great group.

I got out of work! I doubt anyone is looking at the forum right now.... but I'm going to head out i90 towards Stampede area and see if I can run into you guys. Waiting on a buddy to get to my house to ride with me, so I'll be quite a bit behind you guys for sure. If anyone sees this and you know where you're going, let me know!
