That 60 mph is just a guess. Speedometer shows 55 mph.

And yes, 2" trimmed. I had to run .75" spacers because the tires were rubbing uca's when turned and bumped a little. It was drivable but I didn't like the occasional rubbing.

My dads do rub too Marc. On the UCA and frame at full lock. He just doesn't want the spacers and want to keep the tires tucked.

So basically...we keep coming back to 4.56s and 35s :D

Have fun explaining that to the wife :p

"Idk what happened dear, I took it to the shop and man the new tires look big. Must have been really worn down"

    Haha

I immediately though of this .

I vote 4.56 too, I would rather be over geared than under geared any day! Plus gas is cheap right now.

Tires are ordered. Went with 295's like a little sally :pout:

I'm just not up for gears and tires all at once like the 35's would have required... Will do gears in the spring before wheeling season.

I personally think 295's is a good call. I was intending on stepping down to that size. It's a good middle ground tire.

It seems like such a mixed bag of people who run 35's and have good vs bad clearance issues. It's close enough for me that given how i like to drive :burnrubber: i would be pissed with 35's because they'd just rub everything even after beating alot and trimming a bunch. Plus since I went with an AT it's going to be wider than an MT and cause more clearance issues. I'm going to have plenty of clearance issues to deal with on the 295's lol. I'll mount one of my old MTR's on the steel spare and it will work for a good spare too since the 295 is hardly much taller. Couldn't do that with the 35's... It will give me time to decide on the right gears too. If i really like the 295 after a few months i may just stay with that size indefinitely and go for a gear 4.30 ratio. Tough call though since the 4.56 is a stronger gear. I just cant see wanting to drive much on the highway at all with the revs near 3k at 70... 4.30 would put me at ~2500 at 70mph that'd be perfect

Also, my windshield is getting replaced for free next week :yay:

Had a monster rock get kicked up by a mini van on a dirt road out bird hunting last month, made a baseball size spider web near my a pillar. SOO glad it hit the window and not the A-pillar... The crack is running right in front of my face now, sort of distracting and makes me go crosseyed haha. Safeco insurance is da bomb.

Oh the tread width sure. But the over all width should be the same. Or at least not really different substantially.

    Nah 295s will be fine.

Yea section width is similar. Which is the more important part I guess.

Overall width will still affect more so than rubbing over section width. The fact is its still a wider tire at the actual tire tread where the rub occurs.

Eh I mean I guess. I know on my days its the side wall that rubs o the UCA and frame. But yea for the firewall area it'll be the blocks of the tire.

Wider for sure! Gonna be beastly.

Yea lots of free nights. Finals week and I don't really have finals haha
