are you this much of a dick in real life too?

I guess you don't really go anywhere, with that 14k post count.

My point was that I would like to see something like what the other person said about not using the same LBJ design. Because we all know it's not a good one. I never spoke on the mechanics of the LBJ and LCA setup, other than it should be better. Please kindly get the stick out of your rear end.

You must be new...or dumb. But yes, I am the same dick in real life. Ask anyone. And you still didn't answer my question, genius.

And don't go anywhere? Again, cute. Let me know when you want to put your big girl panties on. Come to Moab, or Rubicon, or Superstiton, or Pismo, or Fordyce, or Glamis, or...fuck, anywhere you want, sister. I'll have a beer (or juice pouch) waiting for ya.

Dirt King is the way to go for arms. They make some quality stuff and if you guys go with anyone I'd strongly recommend them.

Already come with Delrin bushings, (and some other goodies for 2nd gens, IDK what they'll do for you 1st genners) fully assembled and ready to install. No additional pressing, or work needed. Just install, align and go!

This is for 1st gens. I have worked on dirt kings stuff and it is amazing quality.

But some of us want unibal lowers instead of ball joint lower and dirt King only offered to make arms to take the stock LBJ.

Still a good option though and may be what happens.

Lol, no he asked a question, might have been dumb, don't really know, but certainly didn't call for such a response.

    That's Jason for you.

If you can get past the major asshole part, his immense knowledge is quite helpful. Also, he generally does a very good job at keeping us 1st gen kids (I will not indulge him with the term 'millennials' being I myself fit into that category) in line. I've learned to do my best just to not let if phase me and dish it back. :luvya:

I find myself, however, often incapable of being that degree of asshole, so I will briefly address the fail safe comment. A fail-safe is some sort of backup, so if the primary object in questions fails, you're not SOL. That being said, swapping a balljoint to a uniball in no way acts as a fair safe. Would a uniball be better than the factory balljoint setup? Possibly, I don't know enough to say accurately. But regardless, we're all still left with the 4 little bolts holding the balljoint/uniball adapter too the spindle, which Jason has talked about previously in this thread.

I'm going to assume this is the highest level of diplomacy you are able to achieve.

Thank you for the response. I was reading a thread somewhere else that said our setup was essentially upside down. Like the ball joint is supposed to be such that if it gets worn out, it won't just pop off of the suspension. I can't remember where the thread is, but that's all I'm going off of. Let me see if I can find it.

    Yes, this is correct.

That being said, there's really no reason to worry about the balljoints as long as you keep up on maintence. Replace with OEM, replace bolts with OEM, paint pen bolts, check it periodically. Anyone that's had a failure or either the bolts or the joint, myself included, should be blaming themselves for the failure and not the equipment.

What was the dumb question? Nothing was deleted. He made some ninja edits which you can tell by the quote responses, but certainly nothing deleted.

FWIW I didn't change anything. I just added stuff. Anyways I was more or less curious to see if this thread would lead to a LBJ solution in the end. I suppose the only solution that exists (other than proper maint) is SAS.
