First thing I do when I get home is grab my home carry piece and strap it on. Because why not? I'm not waiting for my door to get kicked in but I know it happens to people. I'd rather fight back than curl up and tell them I voted for Obama and hope they decide not to kill me.

    Well getting back on topic....

I put some velcro in the center console and used a velcro holster from White Hat Holsters. Keeps my Glock nice and snug and out of sight. Not the fastest in regards to access, but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Guys there have been a lot of break ins in the 'dark' side of town. I feel afraid. Can you help me make a concealed holster for this in my Tacoma?

Is it though? I see Safe and Fire. There's no select fire. If it was an actual "Assault Rifle" It would probably have Burst and or Auto on it.

In all seriousness, why don't you all just keep it in your holster on your person? It's not like you're wearing a huge ass duty belt. Those are lot less comfortable. I freaking carry a full size M&P and it doesn't bother me. The rule is: pants on, gun on. KISS

The Gestapo is on their way.
A friend that has his ccp had his gun sitting on his consol with his girlfriend in the passenger seat. He got pulled over (for a traffic violation) and got herrassed by the police because it was within her reach and she didn't have a ccp. She is a non felon adult. The actions by the police are not right, but still inconvenient. I've also heard of people being ticketed for causing a disturbance because they had open carry. Just be careful about having your weapons in plain sight.

Water + Steel don't mix. Firearm stays on the bathroom counter. Use your head. ;) Course it doesn't go in the shower. LOL

Just to keep this thread on topic. This is a list of links I posted from the "Holster Solutions" thread:

All these look promising and it looks like only one requires drilling mounting holes (the Go Jotto lockable, last NRA link):

This closes in the console lid and has a kydex holster, but is OUTSIDE of the console and readily accessible:
    http://discretedefensesolutions.com/shop/vehicle-accessories/console-holster/

Front of the seat, looks like it mounts to the seat frame hardware:
    http://www.accufireproducts.com/gunsling-r.html
    http://www.desantisholster.com/KINGSTON-CAR-SEAT-HOLSTER

Similar to above, but on the side of the seat:
    http://www.protechoutdoors.com/concealment-holsters/seat-buddy/

    Other under steering wheel:
    http://www.nrastore.com/nra-steer-clear-vehicle-holster-mount
    http://www.gumcreekcustoms.com/
Review of the Gum Creek version - http://concealednation.org/2013/11/product-review-gum-creek-vehicle-handgun-mount/

This looks like an "anywhere" solution if you aren't opposed to attaching a velcro patch somewhere in your vehicle:
    http://www.tacticalholsters.com/product/GSG017.html

This one is lockable and looks like it could be mounted in a console:
    http://nrajottogear.gojotto.com/nra-handgun-by-jotto-desk.html

You could jere-rig something like this:

Or just say screw it and do this:

Every state gets to make up their own gun laws. Some states don't allow un-holstered firearms in plain sight. Some don't allow concealed firearms in a vehicle unless they are holstered. He needs to learn his local laws.

As for getting a ticket for carrying openly... that sounds like b.s. to me. Gotta be more to the story (such as he was standing in front of Starbucks making a fool of himself).

You see the pin right above fire? It's for the auto sear. The "AUTO" position is covered up by the selector. Believe me when I say it's select fire. I'm a 07/02 FFL/SOT.

How about one of my 1919's? ;)

My biggest reason is we can't bring a firearm into the office where I work, so I leave it in the holster in the truck. Wish I could bring it in, but don't want to get fired...

I either keep mine on my hip or put it into my Console Vault. I just wish the Console Vault would fit a full sized / full frame pistol. If I'm not hip carrying I have to use something small like a S&W Shield so I can lock it up in Non-US Territories.
