I absolutely agree but choosing to take up the mindset of the sheep vs the sheepdog because it's easier and less stressful is exactly the reason why places like "Chicago" and others have been converted to "gun free zones". You think the asshat who wants to rob you or your wife/ gf/ bf/ aunt/ brother/ mother/ sister/ father/ someone you don't know but standing behind them in line at the bank, gives two fucks about the so called "gun free zone"? News flash.....they don't. Train yourself, educate yourself. Read "on combat" or "on killing"by LTC Dave Grossman as previously stated in this forum. You may change your mind.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
Op, if you need secure storage for your fire arm, I'd recommend waiting for console vault to release their vault. I had one in my 05, and it was great. Until then, either use your glovebox, or use a gun vault nanovault under you seat for short term storage. I'd recommend that as soon as you get into your vehicle, put your gun on for the ride home

I dont believe in gun free zones. They are a safe haven for trouble in my mind. I am not convinced guns in schools are a good idea either tho. I am open to learning more about Combat and Killing, sounds like fun. lol not. Just call me a liberal even tho it's not true.

You didn't ask any viable questions, you merely mocked people who carry.

Guess what? I carried every day before becoming a LEO. Guess what else? I don't get dressed looking to shoot someone, or fantasizing about how I'm gonna be a hero. Carrying a pistol is akin to putting on my seat belt or having a fire extinguisher.

To assume Everyone who carries a firearm is on a hair trigger... such anti gun tripe. You claim you're a gun owner, yet you are parroting these idiotic ideas which have been repeatedly proven false.

You have to first realize he's living in the Commie state of Massachusetts where the sheep are taught that the government will take care of you and you're not supposed to think for yourself. One of the many, many reasons I leaving this S'hole in 1 week! There are a few here with good common sense but unfortunately not enough know how to "think" for themselves.

Civil is subjective, but I'm talking about the personal attacks. We all know there is always going to be "that guy" who likes nothing more than $hittin' on a thread because he/she just can't stand that someone has an opinion that differs from what they think is right. It is possible to defend your position without the personal attacks - all that does (IMO) is fuel the fire that all gun owners are a$$holes. All I'm sayin' is take the high ground and not to be "that guy".

why do you need to rely on something lethal for protection though?
Why can you not protect yourself with something that is non lethal? Why do Americans...or most of the world have such a lack of appreciation for life and are so easily willing to take it? So you need to protect yourself, ok thats understandable, there are some fucked up people in the world, but why do you need to kill them in the process?

    Ugh this world disgusts me.

Like I get its your right yada yada yada, but seriously how has this world actually come to this where everyone is so paranoid with protecting themselves and in such a way that it means taking the other persons life? How the fuck did we get so desensitized to killing someone? When the amendments were written it was a very different time. Wars etc, you'd think we'd have progressed away from everyone wanting to kill each other by now.

    Ooh

I don't get the bragging part of this. But hey, you seem to get off on it pretty hard. I'm gonna turn my guns in. And hand over my non- D.O.T. Halogen bulbs.

At least I'm not as brazen as most of these other law breakers posting pictures of my illegal headlights!

Another person coming to shit on the thread. Guess what? You have the right to your opinion, we have the right to ours.

I'm a LEO, FFL, and overall gun guy. I'm more researched than many people you'll ever talk to on the subject, and I know people who make me feel completely uninformed.

If non lethal self defense was so viable, and guns so unnecessary, why is EVERY profession which needs to deal with angry, potentially high and armed people is also armed? Are you going to honestly try and tell me the 115lb woman who is raped and murdered by the 250lb asshole is morally superior to the same woman who uses a firearm to defend herself?

Anti gun people are delusional. Honestly delusional. Here's another little thing to chew on. Gun control has NEVER been about crime. It has ALWAYS been about control.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting. It's not about self defense. It is about the citizenry being armed with military grade weaponry in order to have the ability to protect the country as well as being able to overthrow an overreaching totalitarian government. A free society has the heavy burden of individual responsibility.

If you don't like guns, if they scare you, if you simply are ignorant, that's ok.

Don't you dare presume to extend your beliefs upon us.

Just saw this... I had to leave my couch for a few hours today! It's all good, people get heated in gun conversations... I knew what I was getting into. And hey, I'm an idiot some of the time. Thanks though.
