    Ok I'm caught up.

    No COTA will be disappointing. To the person who said Texas wouldn't let it walk, there is a HUGE movement in the states to end the public subsidies of sporting events and stadiums. States are under a lot of pressure to put money in different areas and at times it's considered a political "win" to stick it to the sports community.

    IMO, they benefit the public just as much as an art museum does or an aquarium or other city/state backed businesses and ventures. A new stadium brings a lot of money into the local economy. Just ask the businesses on the day ~1,000,000 people who showed up in downtown Seattle for the Super Bowl parade. How much money the owner makes or the league isn't really a concern of mine.

    I agree with the private money aspect just wanting to point out the state and local governments are under pressure to stop subsidizing, so it won't be easy for them to just write a check.

    They shouldn't give the subsidies to museums and stuff either... If I want to open up a Tacoma world parts store, they wouldn't help me with everything..... It's not fair for some to get it and not all... So none at all should get it

    Philosophically I disagree just because I think a city has a responsibility to keep itself a desirable place for people to do business. Especially if that business improves the local economy and revives a whole downtown area. Your TacomaWorld parts store doesn't really do much for the neighboring businesses.

    Obviously there is some degree of posturing like everything else in F1 but I side with the Works teams on this one , you can't change the engine formula , have the manufacturers spend hundreds of millions on R&D and then basically try to tell them what they are allowed to sell their engine packages for and if they don't agree expect them to agree to a non spec engine for their potential customer base
