Ivan Stewart TRD wheels

ive had all of the above happen. 3/4 center caps fell off..I gorilla glued them back on.

Balance issues all over. I think i need to balance them again..this would be the like 4th time.

No clear coat issuses besides where my socket hits the hole for the lugnut

old thread but wondering if anyone has the actual weight of the Ivan Stewart wheels?

 

You only have balancing, center cap and clear coat issues with the original issue Ivans !! The re-issue Ivans are much better wheels, push in style caps, better clear coat and they ballance like a dream. Any tire shop can ballance them. If your in the market buy the new ones stay clear of the original Ivans.

 

On the new ones, how can you tell the clear coat is better?????

 

I'm just going by personal experience.... My dad bought a Ivan Eddition Tundra brand new from the dealer and about a year after the purchase the clear on the wheels started to yellow and peal off around the lip of the wheel. I had the re-issue Ivans on my Tacoma for almost three years and had no clear issues what so ever!!!!! So, in my opinion they must have changed something.

 

Is your truck a sport model, did it come with 17" wheels? I have a sport and am wondering if the 16" Ivans will fit.Thanks

 

Any info on the 5 lug version? Never heard of that...

 

They were also made by "Niche" called "Throttles" and available in 17" and 18"

Old Tread. But were do u buy these rims at? How much are they and what size do most of yall run on yalls trucks? How do u know if they are the re-issue ones?

 

I just purchased these wheels on Ebay for $500 including shipping! They were brand new and in perfect condition and look sharp on my tacoma. The guy selling these wheels posts on ebay every few days, so if your interested keep checking.

 

Ok thanks, what about the new issue? how do know if they are the new issue?

 

I verified before buying. The part number on my wheels were the same as the wheels that my local dealership are selling. They also came w/ instructions for the TPMS - assumed these were the new released wheels.

 

Did it say anything about using Steel wheel TPMS? Can you turn them 180 and fit them in?

 

I can't remember for sure, but I think it called specifically for the alloy wheel tpms. Its worth checking with your dealership if you're interested.
