Maybe you should ask this question to all the victims of past mass shootings? If some or all were carrying I'd bet the outcome would've been much different. I'm to tired right now to remember specific events but there were a few mass theater shootings where defenseless innocent people were killed. The Newton school shooting a few years back where if they had a few trained faculty members armed could've stopped or at least helped this tragedy. I hope to God I never have to use or even draw my weapon but I'll be damned I leave my house unprepared!

had thought about putting the magnet inside the front seat cover or up by where the change holder is under the 4x4 switch. but also no trigger guard so probably not. i do have a kydex holster i'd like to put inside the change holder but i need an extra one to prototype it and cant find one.

on body is the best solution in my opinion, but i carry aiwb and with sitting down and seatbelt and sweatshirt and tight space, i am looking for alternative only while driving.

Because strokin' their ego would be counter-productive? ;) Why should anyone not be prepared to take the life of someone who's trying to do the same to them? I was watching a documentary on Netflix just last night called "A Girl and A Gun" and one of the ladies being interview stated she owns a gun only because tasers weren't legal where she lived. How much sense does that make, right?

Yeah, me too, which is why I made the conscious decision to carry.

Unless you have killed someone there's no way of knowing the emotional and physical toll it will take on you personally. I'd like to think that only someone who is morally bankrupt or mentally ill could become desensitized to killing.

I disagree that "when the amendments were written it was a different time". Look around at what's happening today. We have terrorists randomly killing people for not believing in their ways. People have been killing each other since the beginning of time and they will be killing each other long after the people posting in this thread are dead and gone!

Not saying you should be a victim. This is such a touchy topic I get it. We both have very different views on guns for sure.

I get it, I respect yours, although do not agree with them. I know America will have a civil war before they give up their guns. And truthfully I do not think people SHOULD give up their guns. I just think it should not be so easy to get one. Every america thats pro gun likes to say gun control doesn't work and then pull the oh look 'place shooting location' has strict gun rules and it still happened argument, but its pointless. The common one is chicago, ok its hard to get a gun, but outside of Illinois its not, and how long is that drive at times? An hour? Maybe two? And you won't be checked like at customs when reentering the state.

Dude in all honesty I have my firearms license, although its an unrestricted license, I can only legally own rifles or shotguns, cant have more than a 5 round clip and its not easy to get that gun, waiting periods etc. I have it, I do not even own a gun. I'm north of you obviously, I have it because I used to go hunting with a rifle, now I only go with a bow. Point being, here in Canada we can own all the same guns as you can, its just not as simple to get as it is where you are. And when shit happens whether it be mental health, domestic abuse, your firearms will be taken pending investigation. No other country that has gun control has mass shootings like america. I'm not saying taking away all guns is the solution. But better mental health help and less ease of access would really help. Honestly I wonder how many gun deaths in the US are actually from illegal firearms. Gangbangers do not count since they are generally usually killing each other so they kinda help get rid of that filth.

But the facts that most if not all mass shootings are done with legally owned firearms and not illegally owned ones is what brings up the idea that it could be a problem.

Regardless point being, given its legal for you guys to own non lethal defence methods, its actually illegal for us which is ridiculous, I do not fully understand why no one actually wants them. I get it someone threatens your life you want to fight back, but I just do not get why you need to take their life. Like they are trying to take yours I get it, but to me that doesn't warrant taking theirs. Definitely warrants an ass beating, possibly leaving them in a wheel chair for the rest of their life, but why take a life just because they wanted to take yours, like does that not pretty much make you as terrible as they are?

I dunno dude, I guess the culture is just so different in America to canada. The stereotypes that we're all so nice and all say a boot etc are all bullshit. I've honestly never heard someone say a boot, we are not all nice people, actually many ass holes, the people here are no different from people in NY etc. Very similar personalities. But I honestly do not feel like my life is in such a threat as it seems so many americans do. I do not live in the nicest neighborhood...but I also do not live in the worse. But even in those shit areas where illegal guns are very common, or many people are mugged, beat up etc I do not feel like I should be fearing for my life. Generally I've found that even in those shitty areas I've never been bothered. Might be because had two dogs with me, and not little dogs, two full grown german shepherds but no problems at all.

The culture must be really different down their that so many feel the need to defend themselves. I mean I live in the largest city, fuck there was just a drive by in downtown toronto yesterday, still do not feel like I should be fearing for my life. Nor do I feel I would want to take someones life just because they threatened mine.

You quoting no other countries which have gun control have mass shootings... It's laughably wrong. Seriously, do anti gun people just vomit back what the MSM spews? What happened in France in November?

I never ceased to be amazed at the willful ignorance. You have the right to your opinion as wrong as it might be.

Guess what, lemme throw something at you here. As both LEO and FFL I know first hand how gun control laws do NOTHING to restrict the lawless from having guns. Laws only affect the law abiding!

I just think at times, if you aren't trained with that firearm, which many really aren't it might just get taken from you and be used against you instead.
I took muay thai as a kid, got all the way up to brown belt. Honestly I feel I could hold my own against anyone with a knife or just their fist. to be fair I do have a knife on me at all times and have two extendos in my car, but never felt the need to use them. But again I feel in any situation where its close I would be ok, and if they have a gun...honestly considering they will likely just be mugging saying give me your moeny etc, they can fuckin have it. they want my phone? here it is. Want my wallet? here it is.
None of it is worth my life.

Truthfully do not think even owning a gun would solve anything in the event of a terrorist attack or a break in. Someone breaks into my house go right the fuck ahead hope you like being attacked by two german shepherds and a brittney spaniel. Actually had my dogs chase someone out of the house the one time someone broke in haha. I now have a sign on the front saying beware of dogs. No problems.

I never walk around on the streets I'm always either working on a construction site, or in my car on the highway, even on streets not really concerned do not live in that bad of a neighborhood.

and if you read my post you'd realize I mentioned most if not all firearms used in these things are legally owned firearms. people with illegal firearms are usually killing other criminals so to me I feel they are doing us a public service lol. Dude like I said culture is clearly very different. Because where I live anyone shootings that happen are not with innocent people. Always with people known to police and with criminal records and connections to gangs. Those shit heads killing each other are doing the rest of society a favour.

Now wait just a damn second.

@Joe23 it's illegal to carry a knife concealed, but you do it anyway, because fuck it? It's not really committing a crime, it's just a knife, right?

Way to prove one of my arguments for me.
