It was in the low 70s today here in SW Missouri and the rain held off so I took the opportunity to strip the parts truck down to the frame, then power washed it. I will be using the frame to replace my rusted one. Does anyone know how to tell if the frame is a warranty replacement? This frame is awfully clean for a 20 year old truck.IMG_20151212_163424512.jpg IMG_20151212_163447145.jpg IMG_20151212_110935260.jpg

I know! I was having withdrawls! Driving around my dad's 7.3l dually isn't the best daily driver in the world! Lots of power and fun to drive for the first week then it gets old lol!

We can't have you strokin' out from withdrawls, now can we? Glad to see you're back in good health.
I can imagine. I'd love to drive one some time, or even be able to drive it occasionally, but I have no interest in DDing one. Hell I don't think I'd even want a "normal" full size. There sure are benefits to them, if you've got shit to do, but overall I think mini truck is best size truck.

Yeah for sure lol! But it's super fun to drive! Chipped with S&B Intake, intake heater delete, 4 inch exhaust turbo back and a wicked wheel 2 compressor wheel for some quick and powerful spool up lol!

Hell that sounds awesome. I bet that's one fun time. A bit jealous that you have access to that. You can DD your Tacoma and still be able to have some fun with that (assuming dad's alright with it, of course) but not have to pay for all the costs. Sounds like the perfect mix.

Not at all I was just wondering. I'd rather not notch the frame that's why I was curious. It's going to be quite a bit wider than stock so I think I'll be good! Cheers

Steering wheel has been feeling tight the last week or so. Felt as though I lost all power steering monday morning. It's been parked since then. Got some time to look at it today. Cleaned the power steering reservoir and went for a drive. After a 20 minute drive it seems all is well. If anybody is having similar issues I recommend checking out your reservoir! Mine had plenty of gunk on the screen, wish I would have known to clean it sooner.

I highly recommend coating it in chassis saver. It's really good stuff! Did my frame.

It get really hard after it dries. You can pound it with a hammer and its not going to chip off.

That's in the plans to do. I also have been looking at Eastwood's internal frame coating.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. The frame rust inside my frame was horrible as well.

This frame has nothing but a little surface rust that I can find. It's really clean. I want to keep it that way.
