Primary Arms for $600 but since you have the lower.. I'd get a Rebel Arms upper.. personally. Ferfrans CQB looks better than Noveskes flaming pig and I love Noveske.

Ya but the pig rattles your retinas with concussion, and blinds you with muzzle flash at night! Second only to Snake Hound Machine's "Loudner". It's fun for making loud noises, and great on a truck gun.

    have at it.

i can suggest you read up on the barrel types before deciding to buy. all barrels for ar15 are "all purpose and rugged". define your use, whatever your need it can be a short light-weight, or it may be a longer bull. if you are gonna be in wet jungle all the time then perhaps a SS fluted is good for you?

Can't say any real reason. Myself and some of the guys at my local gun shop were looking at various items mounted on it. Perhaps it was put back on to their preference? I snapped these pictures before I left for work last Sunday; I'm still here :( Never noticed if it would make a true difference mounted this way.

a backwards mounted rear sight makes your sight picture mirrored so if you were to shift to the right of your target, you'd actually have to shift left. Up and down are same as before.

I was just curious, I mounted mine the opposite way but my reasoning for that was when I'm walling through brush if it catches my sight it should (in theory) fold back and not be stressed the opposite way.

I'm sorry, it sucks to be so busy you can't play with your new toy.

    Didn't think of that

I love every bit of this gun. Stays in the backseat in a case when I'm home from work.

Thanks for the link and your thoughts

I'm set on a heavy barrel absolutely, haven't found one in a 1:8 twist yet so I'm figuring 1:7 will be best served.

    Define my use?

A work horse that will take the abuse of being inside in the back of the cab along with all of the other crap that I carry. I pack heavy and I drive hard. Hard case or not, it's going to get beat up and abused...FB_IMG_1449809128979.jpg FB_IMG_1439908676902.jpg

post 12739, assuming you want a 223. 1:7 1:8 1:9 shouldnt really make a diff for your use. if the the profile is the major metric i would get 1:7 or 1:8, whatever was available. full float hand guard is your best bet against barrel damage.

and for use, in the truck then its not in use. is it for long range, 40yd, 20yd, 100yd plinker ??

Lol, just build an A4 clone, that's what they feel fit to issue the Devil Dogs.

I use the PSA 10.5" FN barreled upper for my pistol. I have about 3k rounds through it and it has never given a hiccup. It has also killed about 18 hogs, but who is counting....
If you want to save money you can get a KAK flash can for a fraction of what you would pay for the flaming pig.

I have the KAK flash can on my pistol. Excellent choice for the money IMO.

I'll never support KAK, I won a contest of theirs and they totally boned me. Ignored my emails and all.
