    The squeaking has gotten so bad that once a week I apply lithium grease between the leafs. This morning I was loading up some scrap to take to the scrap yard. It hit me... try ALUMINUM! instead of putting grease this time I put pieces of aluminum sheet between the leafs. It has only been about 14 hours, but so far it has worked. Since aluminum is so soft I don't expect it would be any sort of permanent fix, but if it lasts more than a week, I see that as progress, LOL!

    Any chance you remember the brand or anything? I am keeping this truck forever, one of us will have to die first before she is sold. But the leaf squeak drives me nuts!

    ur welcome..... I just did some thinking after I installed my icon aal and it started .aking racket.... I thought "well marine grease should deflect rain/puddles and shit so lets try it".... pryed leafs apart with truck FRAME on tall jack stands and used a very very thin boning knife to apply the grease to each leaf.... few yrs later and no issues even after repeated under carriage enabled washes under pressurized water.

    If you mean the aluminum and steel I would say it isn't a big issue as the aluminum isn't going to last long enough to have any effect other than short term.

    I'm no expert but, from what I remember the aluminum should corrode at a faster rate.
