Impatiently waiting for my deadbolt. The estimated delivery date is today, but it doesn't even look like it's left the seller.

I've found a lexan Mini Cooper body to fit my Losi Micro Rally and it got ordered yesterday along with a brushless setup.

Deadbolt showed up, hooked up the battery.....and the ESC doesn't work. Bypassed it, to make sure the motor works, and it does. Sent an email to axial, super disappointed in the product.

That's odd. Does the servo function? When you turn it on, did the motor beep at all?

That sucks, but unfortunately can happen in the RC world.

Was there a bind procedure for the transmitter/receiver? This is usually the most overlooked step and the most important. It should have been bound from the factory as a RTR, but maybe it wasn't, or lost it's bind, and it's something you can do yourself.

Did you turn on the transmitter first, then the ESC last?

On /off switch? sometimes they are hidden.

You may need to calibrate the ESC to the transmitter, there is a setup procedure in the instructions that talks about this.

There won't be any beeps from the motor as it's wound and not brushless, but the ESC might beep or at the very least have an LED indicator.

According to the instructions, I did everything right. Battery was fully charged, turned on the transmitter first, and I get beeps/red and green lights. I've watched a few videos on YouTube, but the sound is so bad- I can't match mine up to it.

Servo works fine. I've got movement in both directions and can adjust steering trim & sensitivity.

Beeps and lights are a good sign, might just need an adjustment or programming change. Was there any movement from the steering servo?
Edit: I see that you have servo movement so the receiver is working, another good sign.

I'm thinking you need to do the throttle calibration. Essentially the ESC may be unaware of full throttle in either direction and has to be shown the parameters before it will function.
I had a speed boat years ago that had to be calibrated every damn time you turned it on, but that was old school, these days the calibration procedure is a one time thing unless you change transmitters along the way
