When I tried calibrating via their YouTube video, it registered full throttle, but not reverse.

Yeah, I think someone's cat at axial wrote their instructions. I'm going to go recharge the battery right now. I discharged it to store it last night

One more thing to consider that just occurred to me. The drag brake/reverse function might have a delay between them.

When you throttle forward, (pulling the trigger) and hit the brake (trigger forward) there is often a delay before reverse will take hold or sometimes the trigger must return to neutral, then be pushed forward before reverse will take effect... Play with the transmitter trigger, maybe give it a few seconds to react.

My Savage conversion has this annoying feature that when I brake, it won't do shit until I return the throttle to neutral, then go for reverse. If I give it any forward throttle at all, it reverts back to brake, and must be in neutral again before reverse.
When I first fired it up I thought I had reverse problems, turns out it's just how it operates.

But building it yourself is more fun. Kits are the best

It took me 6 months to build my JK kit but I, maybe, worked on it once each week

No doubt that building is the best way. Immediate gratification was awesome though

The last heli kit I did was about 6 months. Kits are definitely the way to go, makes it so much easier to repair and modify.

So I took the rubber bumpstop out of the shocks and also raised the bed mount for some rake. Time to get this deans plug soldered on and enjoy the weight I added to the front tires, I need to practice driving too maybe ill head up to the indoor place this afternoon

Maximum flex isn't great for these scale vehicles. It will roll if you lower a wheel too far into a dropoff or hole. Also, lifting the rear and adding weight to the front will make you roll over forward on descents

I took out my bump stops, too. But I run some 12.5x60mm Yeti springs that are 2.63#. They'll droop down about 1/4 of the stroke. It'll roll in any sort of high speed turn.
