Looking at getting a 2016 TRD Sport DCSB 6speed Manual. In the brochure the curb is more (4375 lbs) than a DCLB Limited with auto trans (4355 lbs). I always thought the Manual trans were lighter plus the short box, any ideas?

This makes no sense to me either. Interested if someone can answer your question, I think it has to be a typo...

Also, in the Canadian brochure it says the payload of every Double Cab model is 950 LBS but when I checked Toyota.com, the US Double Cab versions lists payload at 1120-1175 LBS. Can someone clarify?

I think you're right about being a typo, the brochure also has a photo of a Limited short box which is not available in Canada. Also, only recently found out you can only get the DCSB trd sport with a 6speed manual. This is very strange to me. Has anyone driven the model with the manual transmission? If so how does it feel? I would prefer the auto but don't want the long box.

I had a 2011 6speed and hated it. Aweful MPG (see sig), long vague throws (even with TRD short shift kit), high RPM's on the freeway, slower in testing than the auto and less strong than the auto. This was paired with the 4.0 and the older automatic but I wouldn't consider a new manual after my experiences.

Agreed. When I bought my manual (also put in a short shift kit) I lived in the country with no traffic and certainly no stop and go traffic. I didn't mind the heavy clutch and still clunky shifting.

Now that I'm in the city I no longer like the manual for typical driving situations. A manual car in the city is fine, a truck is much less appealing.

Well, its been 4 days since I put a deposit down on my truck to have them order it….haven't heard one word since! They were suppose to tell me the following day when it would get here. Same with mod quotes….again, zero response on quotes. CH is starting to piss me off!
They might get a cancelling threat (even though I can't cancel because my current truck is officially sold)

Looks like this thread is dying.
I was curious with the Canadians on here who ordered a truck....with the wait time, were you given a VIN #, or just a date of when it will be in? I've put down a deposit, and all they told me was "Mid Feb-ish". Arg!

Do you need to know, or care?
For me, no VIN # given. I wanted a MGM LTD, they told me they may be able to trade with another dealer (didn't happen) but 3 were on the train headed to Vancouver. I ended up getting one off that train, so it was a 2 week wait for me. Guess it comes down to what's available or already shipped. Toyota has holding yards across Canada where dealers can draw from, but if they can't find what you want, then it's the waiting game.
