Makes fancy brackets doesn't use them to keep tree centered and stable

Haha, I know right. The straps hooked into the brackets are keeping it from moving.

Problem was the truck of the tree was too high for the brackets to center it so the straps were used. I knew this when making them which is why I added holes for straps. The brackets are more for tubing and my ladder.

No Christmas tree farms near Denton?

What do eastern shore folks do for live trees?

There are, but my Mom wanted us to go with her and they go to a place in northern Delaware. It's a nice place, but a hike from Denton and stupid expensive. But, Mom asked so don't want to say no.

Loved GR when the trails were open, ATV, Dirtbike, 4X4 all were fun there and so close. Wish they didn't shut down:( Only pic i have of the truck there like 4 years ago.

They apparently can't stop people on dirt bikes either to many ways in and out I guess we had a couple come thru our campsite when we're up there

don't fergit, yesterday was the last day of gun season, now it is black powder, but with Green Ridge being a CWD area, I doubt that there was the "normal" amount of drunken crazies up there, but who knows?

Took advantage of the weather yesterday and gave the truck some love. Oil change, air filters, coolant, dy-icer (although with this crazy weather I doubt I'll need it), fresh coat of wax on the skids and suspension. Had more time than I thought so I washed, clayed, and waxed.

I found washing the frame with rubbing alcohol and destilled water before applying any type of rust prevention really helps. I hate rust so much and tacoma frames drive me nuts

It's depressing that it's going to rain this week, but I want to start putting on the wax as salt protection.
