Lot of dealers do these "free oil change for life" or "powertrain warranty for life" around here. My neighbor bought a Jag XKR few nights ago, and the dealer had a powertrain warranty for life, as long as he brought the car in every 30k for them to look over. (good money making scheme).

Similarly I have seen Lexus/Toyota dealer locally offer free oil change for life

Then again, nothing is really "free"

I'm in the Charlotte area. Where do I have to go for free synthetic oil changes? At about what, $100 each, that will add up.

My parents live in Raleigh and have two new Lexus, and no such deals there.

In LA, where I have seen these "lifetime" oil changes, they have been for non synethetic.

MSRP is 36,497. Went back to dealer signed the paperwork on Friday. After price matching another dealership and negotiating a little bit, I was able to get it even lower. Got a 2016 Toyota Tacoma DCSB TRD offroad model #7544 in the magnetic grey with tonneu cover and towing package for a final out the door price of $33,573.

Just want to say thanks to all who have posted on this thread about their experiences at dealerships. It really helped me to find the deal I wanted.

You must live in a state with a maximum tax price?

What part of SC are you in? $2,924 under MSRP out the door sounds solid to me.

Town and Country, right there in Charlotte is where my dealer was able to price match from. They have the cheapest price I have seen in the southeast.

Truck is enroute with a delivery date of Dec 22. Leather and predator bars have to be installed. Hope to have the truck by the 23rd or 24th. I dropped off my paperwork for financing today so I can get a rate and compare it to my bank. The numbers haven't changed yet... But I can't say everything is as it was supposed to be until we go to signing. I'll post up my final numbers when I sign.

Hey guys, my first post to the forum (hopefully first of many) as I'm trying to pull the trigger on a Tacoma, something I've wanted since I graduated college (2007). Here's the OTD price I've gotten from a dealer (Acton Toyota of Littleton, MA), who has been the cheapest so far. I've been stressing that if I can find the right price, i'll sign by the end of 2015 so they can get another number (and holdbacks) for the year.

    2016 TRD OR DCSB 4x4
Options: Tow Package, Carpet Floor Mats
    Vehicle Price: $33,886 (w/delivery fee)
    Doc Fee: $290
    OTD Price: $34,176

Looks to be about $500 over invoice if my math is correct. They seem to calculate their invoice price differently, as me thinks they are including TDA ($467)and gas ($11-$15).

I don't want to pay for, let alone MSRP, for carpet mats since I'd put in weathertechs anyways. I might green light a purchase if they find me one with all-weather liners or no liners (unlikely). Otherwise, I might say a factory order with just the HH package. None of the vehicles coming up to the New England region are coming equipped like that.

Anyone want to weigh in on price from what they've seen?

    Window sticker attached.

Welcome. I'm pretty new here myself. My first posts here were very similar to yours. I drove myself crazy trying to calculate holdback, invoice, blah blah blah. Make it simple on yourself. MSRP for your truck is $35,489. Your out the door offer is $34,176.

35,489 - $34,176 = $1,313 below MSRP. Assuming that's true "out the door" including taxes, title, etc.

I bought my truck a few days ago. DCSB, 4x4 OR, Tech Package (Non JBL), Tow Package, tonneau cover and my complete "out the door" price was $35,589. So for $1,413 more... you get a lot of other stuff. I was $3005 under MSRP.

2 things. My South Carolina taxes are stupid cheap. I also seem to have hit upon a really good deal. Still... IMHO... you could do better even if you had to travel to get it.

EDIT: Just to be clear. This may be a very good price for your area. Hopefully someone local to you will chime in. The SOCAL guys were recently posting photos of trucks with $5000 markups and reporting the dealerships as "unwilling to budge".
