So I have my old X-Runner stock exhaust in my attic (My dumb-ass left the magnaflow cat-back on when I traded it in) I was thinking of putting the stock X-Runner exhaust on my current rig (4x4 DC short bed) both trucks are the same wheelbase so I am thinking it will fit. Any one have any thoughts on this? Will the transfer-case be in the way? The reason I want to put on the XR exhaust is its a little loader and it has a chrome tip.

look for an aftermarket exhaust for both vehicles. If they give you the same part number, your stock X-runner exhaust might work.

...and now for the absolutely useless question - How loud was your magnaflow, and were you happy with it?

There two different part numbers for the two trucks. Not if its because of the ground effects or because of the possible plumbing differance.

I was very happy with the magnaflow cat-back, I probably should of taken it off the X-Runner before I traded it in.

Was it fairly loud? How was the interior resonance?

Yeah, that is a bit louder than what I am looking for. I need something that gives "quiet" or "subtle growl" with better than OEM performance.

AKA - I want better flow without telling my neighbors I am headed into work or making my highway time feel like a Harley ride. ;)

I would guess that the plumbing is different dut to minor chassis differences between 6 lug chassis and a 5 lug chassis, but what bennefit would the X Runner system have over any other stock 4.0 system?, is it just a different tip? I have always heard that the muffler internals are the same on all 4.0's, and mabey even the 2.7's, but I am not sure. The neibor up the road has an X, and it sounds just like all other 4.0's that drive by.
