That's a good deal. Your dealer has already paid the TDA fee and they want that money back. It looks like you aren't paying much more than invoice, so your dealer is going to lose money unless they charge you the TDA fee to pay themselves back. I don't think they will take 38500 because they will lose money at that number.

Does the dealer have this vehicle? 7568 is an incredible rare model and getting 440 over invoice on one of those is an effing steal. Go buy that truck right now. I am very surprised they have that on their lot.

To give California perspective, I'm looking to pay ~39000 OTD for a truck like yours without Premium Tech package.... and my tax is only about 2% higher than yours

I still need to sell my 13 Rav4 . They only offered me 16,000 on trade, ouch. Hoping to sell for 20,000 and pay off my truck with money left over to stick back into my savings. :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Oh wow that was an expensive truck then!

What happened to that guy who built the minivans who wouldn't stop saying he gets a Toyota discount? Where did he go?

Ordered a DCSB OR 4x4 6MT (black) with premium tech (no JBL), tow, mud guards. Salesman and manager signed a rough-drawn 'contract' stating they would sell it for $34,000 plus only tax, title, license. No trade in. This was done on 11/7. Salesman said the order was accepted by the plant and recently he said the truck was being built. When I asked who in the dealership's finance dept. I could talk to regarding what financing they offered, he suggested I wait until the beginning of the year to initiate that discussion. So, I guess the truck won't be here before then.

I am hoping/praying they don't try to slip something else in when the vehicle arrives - despite wording on the 'contract' that says only TTL will be due. Thoughts?

Well, I reiterated to the salesman several times that only TTL was to be added. I wrote that on the contract; he and the sales manager signed it. I guess they can always try to weasel, but I will put up a fight. Who knows . . .

They have to charge you Destination so hopefully it's already built into the price. But 34000 is too cheap for that truck. oh wait is this short bed or long bed?

I paid $35K plus TTL for that exact truck, but also including the tonneau cover. If you really get it for $34K, I think that will be a smoking good deal. Where are you located? Even if it slips to $34,500, I'd still do it.

Are you sure you are reading that it's a Manual? The manual in that trim is around 35000 dollars MSRP

I ordered the short bed. I would have thought the manual was cheaper by around $800 or so; at least, that's what I thought I remember when I was playing around with a build on the Toyota site.

I am in the Dallas area. Talked to lots of dealers. My salesman first said he couldn't sell what I wanted for any less than $35k. I told him I already had an offer for slightly below $34k. That's when he dropped it to $34K.

Yes, we agreed in a written contract that I would $34,000 plus ONLY TTL. The salesman and the sales manager signed it. I put down a refundable $500 deposit. Now, who knows if they will try to weasel out of it by saying some such like, 'Oh, but we have to charge this destination fee . . ."

This 'contract' was written on a blank sheet of paper, but with the specifics pretty well spelled out. In fact, the salesman pulled out the paper and asked me what I wanted to say in the contract. I didn't do the invoice, MSRP thing. I told him what I wanted to pay and then I wrote $34k with NO added fees, nothing except TTL.
