I've heard some rough stories about that place in the past and had one sketchy experience myself a few years ago. Haven't been back since. I have no idea if it's open or not.

Oh yeah for sure, I've been up there for 15 weeks total in the last year working for ASU so it's familiar territory at this point.

taking first REAL road trip in my recently acquired (5 months ago) DCSB, anyone been able to get 400miles or better from one tank on the highway ? trying to plan fuel stops and really don't want to stop in WV for fuel ( usually the most expensive stop along the way )

I've made 350ish on mixed driving, should go up with reasonably sensible (75mph) driving, I've never been able to do sustained (more than 20 min) 75mph in the truck, haven't gone that far on the interstate with it.

Stock truck, stock tires, bed cover loaded probably about 5100lbs gross (vehicle, occupants, cargo)

I'd prefer not to with family in the truck.

I'm guessing 400 miles is pushing it ? I've never driven it to the fuel light either ( does this truck have a low fuel light ? ) I've put 2500 miles on it since July, I have a company vehicle, so I only drive it on the weekends mostly.

    Wishing for a
makes sense. My fuel light usually comes on right at 300 miles, but the 6 speed is geared a little lower so not quite as many MPGs.

Just for giggles, last weekend when i pulled the Seagull to URE from Wilmington, I filled up when left. I basically burned a whole tank form when we left to the Outpost (maybe could have gone another 30-40 miles)

No. I know some areas up there that I drive and camp when I'm around. When are we going?
