I rotated my tires today. I noticed my tires are beginning to show some cupping on the inside edges only. Google listed about 100 possible causes for this. Tire balance was one that came up over and over, but it doesn't feel out of balance at all. I don't have the print off anymore but after my last alignment specs were about 0.2 camber 0 toe 1.2 caster. Anybody know where I should start looking?

Stock coils right? If so, you'll be fine. I ran mine at 2.5 and wheeled with them like that before i went with the eibach 2.5 coils. Kurt runs his at 2.5 also. As far as the rear, I'd just get an AAL (add a leaf) rather than blocks. It will ride much smoother than blocks and you get a little more strength/weight capacity to the leaf pack by adding 1 or 3 of you do a progressive aal.

Any suggestions on an AAL? I'm also on a tight budget, and my truck is 99% highway with no towing in the foreseeable future; which is why I was thinking about blocks. But am I right that I need 1.5" in the rear to level with the front with my billies set at 2.5" on stock coils? Also remember reading somewhere on here that going up to 2.5" may cause some vibration problems or whatnot, true?

Ok. I don't have any wheel bearing noise and there is no wiggle when I push/pull on the top/bottom of the tire. My ball joints have never made a peep. Shocks are pretty new with about 25k. I guess I'll check the torque on everything the front end. Is there anything I'm not thinking of here?

I've been very pleased with wheelers 3 leaf AAL. Gives 2". You can remove the overload leaf and it will give you 1.5", but that's going to hurt your load capacity. The last thing our trucks need is a weakened leaf pack.

Well shit. Had to abandon and put the OE shock back on. Started on drivers side and the bottom mount was too snug to fit the ICON. The OE has lots of room. I got it close but couldn't find my rubber mallet. Also, these new shocks decompress a heck of a lot faster than the OE.

I assume also that the side with the hole at the top points to the back which would mean this gap at the bottom points toward the front. 8fd184770776c5f37e4e912103e9206e_3f7e9993c1716ace42e9a5815e9b90f683b41b26.jpg

i have the wheeler's hd progressive aal with the stock overload leaf left in. I like the factory rake, so that and the total weight capacity is why i did it that way. The progressive aal is a 3 leaf kit. So what you could do with a 3 leaf kit is: leave the overload leaf in, and remove the smallest prog leaf. It may level it, may not... i'm not really sure, but it's something to consider/try. But here's the link: check out wheeler's offroad for other options.

    agreed

put a small film of WD40 on the bushing surfaces then tap them in with a rubber mallet when you can get your hands on one.

I bent the lower mounting bracket outwards either direction then when I cranked down on the bolt, it bent it back in place. Made everything easier.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I bent it out, but it didn't bend close enough to the hole. I'll give bending another try along with the lube and mallet.
