    In my defense, I don't usually ask for rep unless the thread has officially turned to shit. That's my style. Fortunately for me, the threads turn to shit after 2-3 posts. Listen, I wish they didn't turn to shit so damn quickly. IMHO, the mods are responsible for locking the threads once they go off topic. It get's very frustrating when you're trying to find somethign out about your truck and you think you found the thread where the info that you're looking for is. When you click on the thread, it's turned to shit by the 3rd post. That's why I started a rep whore thread, so other threads don't go to shit so quickly. I'm surprised this thread hasn't turned to shit yet.

    Point taken. I will stop begging (as others have said, it hurts my integrity).

    I will just have to hope that some people like what I type. ;)

    The rep thing doesn't mean anything to me personally. I don't bother with it. So I don't even bother reading the threads that pertain to it. I've probably given a couple reps...which, must be good for me to give rep points in the first place!

    I can agree, the topics do go astray. I've searched for info and found threads I thought would help -but didn't. No biggie though... they're just having fun.

    You either keep searching or you post a completely new topic. Atleast here - nobody bitches at you because you didn't use THE SEARCH button.
    <atleast not yet anyway>

    I try to be ZEN with my puter & my truck (& forums). Some days I'm a terrible & irritable Zen but other days I'm simply lost in my Zennibility. :p

    Anybody want to give me some rep? :D Not really im just kidding :p.

    I was just proving that threads really do go to shit after the first few posts. I know with me when im looking for an answer to a question if i find a thread that might help i'll just read the first 5 or 6 posts after that the thread is already off topic, so then i either have to do more searching or start a new thread and hope that the first couple of posts answer my question.

    But seriously can i have some rep :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

    Well, I think it's ok to stray off topic as long as you get right back on. I believe that TW should be an informative site but also fun. There's enough seriousness in this world. It's OK to have alittle fun too!!:)
    Does that make any sense?

    Since you did bring it up. LOL, My posts that get deleted are the ones where I go into the threads that have gone to shit (just about everyone) and state "this thread has gone to shit, now is a good time to request some rep"

    My post gets deleted for stating that the thread has gone to shit, IMHO it would be better if the super mods like YOU just lock the damn thread once it has gone to no man's land. So many off topic posts in the thread, but the one that gets deleted is the one that states that the thread has turned to shit. It's obviously a face saving measure.

    Unfortunately, this thread will go further off topic. If we were to close the threads that went to shit, every other thread would be closed. People will bring old threads back up when needed and if a thread is closed, how can they ask a clarifying question.

    For instance, let's say PT's cheap mods thread goes to shit. Under Klown's idea, I'm supposed to close it. What about the people that have a question on how to install d-rings? I'd rather them post a question in the original thread than start a new thread.
