Thanks for your honest opinion about the comparison! Another thing making me keep the Baja is that this was the model that started it all, suspension functionally-wise. Feels more original since they made these just for the Tacomas, too.

Didn't even think about that...great point!

What I found ridiculous about my experience looking at the 3rd Gen was the appraisal I got from one of the stealerhips on my Baja. They claimed that they couldn't add the Baja package to the spec sheet for the appraisal and could only give me the trade value of a TRD OR 4X4.

Wheelers Progressive AAL, Firestone RideRite airbags.
I had the same issue at 2 dealerships. The dealer I bought it from was going to offer me $28k for it when it had 25k miles on it, which was only 2k shy of private party so that wasnt too bad. But the others kept saying "Its just a TRD OR" while my dealer was quoting me for a TRDOR and a Sport as one.

But us original Baja guys are going to be screwed on resale. Just more reason to keep it lol

I love my PRO, these are from over the summer but it'll go plenty of places you would never expect it to make it out of. I was digging mud out of the undercarriage for weeks after this.

My sons are 25 and 28. If my Taco comes up missing there will be some words said to them LOL....

Still trying to decide about the ass end, pirates dream a sunken chest with the OEM springs and a topper, sliders, and a fair amount of weight in the ass end all the time. I know many have done the ICON AAL on the Pro and Baja but over time my experience with helper springs has not been good. Wheelers leaf packs have too many squeaking issues to make me comfortable at 20 below and going outside to spread the springs and spray them with silicone. Thinking about the Alcan leafs and pulling the 3rd leaf out. I have the Firestone Ride Rite bags already but not installed yet. When I test drove the Baja I took it on a washboard road right next to the stealership and a combine was coming at me. The faster I went the better she handled, the rebound rate on the shocks is impressive to say the least. I passed the combine at +60mph and we both were half off the road. I would like to get back to that handling. Thoughts?

Off topic but i can not seem to find a single good thread on the power outlet anytime mod. The ones on the mod list either won't pull up or the tundra forum no longer shows pictures

I haven't had any issues with my Wheelers Progressive AAL to date, and I have done several towing trips at around ~3K lbs each and have had a few decent sized loads in the bed from Lowes varying between ~200-~700 lbs. No sag, tows well, and the truck handles the shitty roads around here and the occasional off-road jaunt quite well. I haven't had the displeasure of finding an extended washboard road yet, but our potholes and general road conditions around here are pretty bad. Granted, I don't have to deal with 20 below temps and haven't had the AAL installed very long. Maybe the fact that my AAL are progressive and I left the overload in helps with my experience? Who knows, and I will likely go the Dakar full replacement when the time comes. I know that when I eventually upgrade the rear bumper and add sliders and maybe a topper, I will definitely be adding the Dakars at the same time.

Thank you sir. Maybe I'll go with standard TRD to match the shift knob.
