It is only slightly louder on the highway - nothing major at all. It does ride slightly firmer as well, however the truck drives better with these tires. Currently running 36 PSI in them but I have not had to do much of a MPG test. I am sure it's taken a hit by a MPG or so on the highway. Well worth it in my opinion, since it looks so much better and drives nicer. You won't be disappointed in this setup.

    Smooth with zero vibrations.

Are the 265/75 the biggest you can go without running or a lift on a 2016 TRD sport?

Is that the biggest you can go on a stock 2016? How does it ride compared to the stock tires? Do they rub at all? It looks great!

I've heard some people running 275/70/17 in a stock configuration without rubbing. 265/70/17 has plenty of clearance. I went with the 265/70 to get a Load C tire, versus a Load E tire for the BFG A/T KO2.

Well shoot, now I don't know what to do. I thought the local Walmart had a tire shop. Come to find out the closest one to me is at least 20+miles away. I really don't want to go that far every time I need service/rotation. I have an America's Tire and a Les Schwab within 1/2 mile from my office/house.

Now I am considering Goodyear Duratrac or BFG KO2's.... I don't want to start a flame war about tires. Any thoughts?

Mine, an SR, came with 245/75/16 fire stones. I stayed with that size and put on Hancock ATMs. No power loss and just rugged enough for my use. I had 265/75/16 on the last off-road model, but couldn't justify what little height gain in difference for comfort this time around. Maybe next time I buy tires I'll move up and add a lift, but for now I didn't want to sacrifice the ride, braking, or power! I'm happy with my choice.

Leaning that way but Costco has the BFG KO2's for the same price as the Duratracs...

If you are going to spend a lot of time off-road, the Duratracs are probably the better choice. If you still want a good off road tire with better economy and ride comfort, a Load C A/T KO2 would be a good choice. I increased the pressures to 38 PSI in mine to see how MPG would respond. I found one side was set at 36 PSI and the other side was set at 32 PSI. My TPMS is down while I get new sensors, so I guess one tech aired the tires up more than the other. I should see some improvement.

I agree with this. My Duratracs are great offroad. They are good on road too and have zero complaints with them. They are louder than some other tires, but I don't mind it. I recently went offroad with about 5 other trucks and have videos of several different tire sizes and types (from stock, to 35s on our tacos) and you can definitely tell the Duratracs performed in the upper spectrum. The only reason I'm looking at switching is I'm trying to find something that won't eat up as quickly. I'm going to be running more long distance in the future and would love to have something that could hold a few more miles. But... may end up just going with them again. Who knows at this point.

On my 2016 DC OR SB I originally put on 265/70 16 GY Dura Tracs but found them to be too noisy at highway speeds on everything but smooth pavement. Discount Tires let me trade them in on BF Goodrich KO2 265/75 16 which seem much quieter and I like them better. Both sets ride very firm over paved road bumpy surfaces as did the original GY Wrangler with Kevlar. Don't intend to start a food fight, just my experience with my first Taco.Toyota Tacoma BF Goodrich 2689 copy.jpg

Posted this on a couple other threads thought I would share here as well. Toyo at2's in 265/70/17. No lift yet, leveling the front and having to cut for rubbing from the -12 offsett of wheels.

What tire pressure are you guys running in your KO2's for best fuel economy?

I have 285/70/17's and there set at 35 psi.

DC OR SB on KO2 265/75 16 (E load rating) I had today 36f and 34r. Here is a phone shot from my cruise after fill up for about 60 miles on an up and down but relatively flat freeway segment. The speed was 60-65 mph. Speed is a huge contributor to fuel milage results. In the Auto Tranny with these 31.6 inch tires the rpm in sixth gear is +- 1600 rpm at 60 and 1900 at 65. These are approximate numbers.

I won't be off-roading but by chance, however I drive about 40k miles a year. How long do the KO2s last approximately? I see no wear warranty. Also, will they be a decent highway tire? They look so good.
