    Bilstein 5100's w/front's set at 1.75", TRD exhaust, Colormatched grill, Illuminated 4wd selector switch, BAMF Bolt on Sliders w/kickout.
    Try not putting the tape so close. I left about an inch between my tape and the badge, and didn't have any trouble when I peeled.

    I had about 1/4" between the emblem ant the tape. I'm wondering if maybe I sprayed downwards at too steep of an angle to the point where the gap between the emblem and the door was thicker than it should have been so it didn't tear properly?

    When my wife and I sprayed the emblems on her Camry, it got pretty thick in places one the Toyota symbol, to the point I was worried about how it would peel. It was actually far easier to peel and get a clean line than in the other areas. I would lean more towards it having been too thin in my experience.

    I have found that if I pull and peel slowly at about a 45 degree angle, it breaks at the joints and it comes off nice and clean without running into the areas I don't want to peel. It isn't difficult, but I do think a little finesse helps...lol

    Any tips on removing plastic dip?
    Started to take off the PD on my hood and some of it is very difficult, we used WD-40, carb cleaner, pressure washer, and sponges, after 2 hours of work we've gotten most of it off but some if it (Where the heat from the engine soaked it) is very stubborn.

    I have used goo be gone stuff that i got from autozone and a rubber scraper. It is alot easier if you put a good 5-7 coats on. It makes it thicker!

    Going to dip my new (to me) taco this weekend. Ordered three cans. Going to start with the chrome grill and chrome decals around the truck.

    For taking the grill off, I read that it's just taking two top screws out and then popping it off? For my 2006.

    If this is a success I'll try and tackle the bumper next...but considering I've never painted anything outside of grade school projects, I don't want to take on too much at once!!

    Haven't had my truck a week and I already have a hefty wish-list saved!

    I swapped mine out and it was just a screw on the top left and right and the middle has a tab that slides in place, so don't break that off or it isn't going to sit right again

    Washed and waxed the taco this weekend for the first time since I had done my derp. Was a little nervous about it so I tried not to spray too hard on the dipped parts and I didn't put any wax on those parts either. None of it came up and it still looks good as new. :thumbsup:

    Couldn't get even layers, it was coming out clumpy despite shaking the can and letting it sit upside down. I think it being as cold as it was didn't help the situation either. Keep in mind I've never spray painted a day in my life so it was probably not meant to be

    Now I've got it in the creases of each emblem...regretting this decision. Once I get the emblems off I will try again

    The best thing about plasti dip is the fact you can peel it off and start again. Just give it another chance.

    That's exactly why I went with the dip. Boyfriend thinks it's tacky and he was just waiting to see me fuck it up.

    But I like that it's reversible. Once I get it the layering down I will tackle the front grill and bumper.

    It was a pain to remove but a little WD40 is going a log way.
