He answered a long time ago to that same question. If I recall correctly he fab'd up a metal bracket that he riveted to the oem roof rack

Oh okay. I have been in the market for some. I am leaning toward the rough country mounts though

Wanted to share some LED bar mounts I am in the processes of making. Right now I have two versions. A Stealth style mount that puts a 32" LED bar behind the lower grill and a Flush style mount that puts the LED bar flush with the front bumper (requires cutting out of the lower grill). These are awesome because they are 100% bolt on and require no drilling or modification of your vehicle (except cutting the grill for flush). They are laser cut 3/16" and adjustable. They bolt onto the factory bumper bolts. Gauging interest and getting feedback. I make these for 4th Gen 4Runners and the guys on T4R love them. Let me know what you think or if you want one, producing a run of these soon!

Oh ya, and I am in the works designing a new 100% bolt on Tube light bar that incorporates a Stealth style LED bar mount and then a Tube light bar all in one with 4 tabs to mount any lights you want. More to come as I work the design out!

The flush mounts are already designed and ready. I have a test mount I already built. Almost exactly the same, just a little longer. I would love to have someone mount it up and check fit for me "wink wink." You can keep the mount free for testing it for me and providing a bunch of quality pictures for review on my side.

The price will be $100 plus flat rate shipping of $13. I am also a dealer for Cali Raised LED and will offer a $30 discount if you buy the mount and LED from me at the same time.

These come powder coated black. They are made for a 32" mounting width bar which is what Cali Raised and most others are. Just in case you want to buy your own LED bar elsewhere.

My review of the 30" light bar sold by TrekTRD-Felix

The part arrived bubble wrapped in a USPS box (the box arrived damaged)
the internal packaging could be better as other than bubble wrap, there is nothing.
I reported the damage to Felix before taking to the installer.

The light bar was heavy, appeared well built.
the installer did the wiring and such (I have NO skill for that) and it looked great.
Put out the light I was hoping for- GREAT.

The down side is not too long after being mounted, the unit started showing signs of leaking and moisture was inside the light unfortunately. This could be from the damage the box incurred during shipping and little internal packaging around the light bar. I reported the leakage to TREKTRD and was told that since I took the light to a Professional installer, there is no warranty for a leaking light bar. I found that an EXCUSE to not stand behind the product sold. But I do know that Felix is trying to get the firm he fronts for, to do the right thing, and I have even offered to Pay $50 towards a non-leaking replacement to help get this resolved, but this has been pending since 24OCT, so am hoping, but not optimistic I will get a credit and/or replacement bar due to the defect in the product.

I am new to TW and probably should have asked the question about warranty. I have done so with Baja Designs whom has confirmed their light bars have a life time warranty against leakage. I should have asked that prior to ordering the one I received. But hope Felix can convince his company they should warranty this product and just replace it and know he is working hard to do that. I hope to be able to report Felix was the hero and got this resolved, but truly do not believe the reason to decline replacement is valid, that a professional installation firm did the job and as such, the leakage is from their handing, but if I had installed it, the impression is they would have replaced it. But not all of us have the skills to wire a truck with lights and then install switches in the dash.

I will update once I get the final answer from Felix (TREKTRD) on if they will replace the unit or if what they sell is as-is, no warranty for factor defects or damage in shipment as this box arrived as.

so far... seems TREKTRD will not stand behind the product sold, and all sales appear, AS IS, even if damaged in shipping, its Buyer beware.

Has anyone had luck find a professionally made roof light bar mounting solution?

I have the stock roof rack, and want to mount a bar (40-50") in conjunction with that, but am finding only custom/1-off solutions, or mounts that are in lieu of the rack, using its mounting holes.

Is it safe to say a bunch of these are bulk purchased from China and resold in North America?

I see like 10 different brands of LED light bars that look the exact same, or very very similar as the lens cups, the bolts that hold the lens on etc?

Obviously there will be original designs but I'm seeing an absolute ton of repeat products among sellers.
