hi so my girlfriend has the 2015 toyota tacoma trd sport 4 door (double cab?)

shes been asking for the nerf bar sidesteps i think thats what its called.
i been looking and looking and kind of having a hard time understanding.
unfortunately im not very knowledgeable in the tacoma world of cars and accessories.
she wants the ones that have a step on each door. matted black (i think its called
textured) i believe powder coated is what is recommended from when i go into shops.
im looking online and such and just having a hard time. i guess this is all meant for
off road accessories. she wants to lift her car later and such. anyways any suggestions,
photos, site that is the best to use. i tried to look on Amazon since i have the prime
membership. and there return policy is always on point. i guess if someone can help me
in the right direction it would be great. she is a mechanic for toyota so she doesnt need
installation done, or any of that just i need to get them in her hands for xmas ha.
i figured the best way to find out is thru tacoma forums as i use other forums for my cars.
peoples opinions are better than "reviews". even though amazon says its for 2014 cars,
some reviews say it works for 2015 cars as well. but yeah she says gloss finish or not is
alright but i know she would want the more textured matted, but if you guys suggest other
wise, im sure she wont be disappointed at all.

thanks for even clicking on the link,

first time member probably llong time user soon since shes all about her Taco.

X2. NFab makes some pretty solid steps that are pretty popular.

BTW, your girlfriend is a Toyota tech? Sounds like a keeper - just sayin.

I have the NFab 3 inch gloss. I think the flat/textured only come in the 2 inch. They look good either way.

if you live where you get snow and they salt and treat the roads, they will be rusted and paint coming off them in a few months,, otherwise they look great,, been there done that, they are gone..

i been looking thye seem to come in 3 inch as well
located in california near the beach so maybe some salt residue? hmm you are saying if i get it glossy it will rust and paint coming off hmm so the matted texture is the way to go then.

i was told she has a long bed as well that seem to have factor in my purchase as well i suppose?

thanks guys for all the help im feeling alot closer to a purchase than i was aweek ago.

Unfortunately I actually like that myself but she wants the steps per car door. If it was for myself I would go for that look, but since it's more for her, I need to find one to her liking haha I'm just glad she is giving me hints/ what she wants. Thanks for putting a photo as well helps me have an idea. So thank you

Do you notice the gap between the bar and car? I been reading some say the 3in fits very nicely and snug, but I'm guessing it's more of a preference.

How are they at protection from door dings. I like the look of sliders better but they are non existent in the northeast.

Not really good protection from door dings unless the door hits the steps.

I'm going to steamroll into this thread and ask:

What is the difference b/w 2 and 3 inch NFab steps? Just personal preference, or is there a difference in functionality b/w the two?

I think it's personal preference. I think the three inch looks better plus more protection for the side of your truck.
