Too poor to list anything interesting.
I've found exercise quite soothing. Running, lifting, whatever your cup of tea. What ever helps to clear your mind of the distracting thoughts.

I've seen meditation work. It took us getting out of the crowd we were in the middle of and sitting for about ten or so until his breathing got back to normal, but he got there. (Does it matter that he's an Indian dude and meditation is normal for him?)

actually that did cross my mind, and mountain biking (there are trails within a few miles of me) .. might try that once I get some more time to myself
lol .. races. I've been having these 'episodes' lately, dunno what else it could be. Heart races, hard to breath, woke up the other night and had mel call an ambulance but after a few minutes I was fine again. Went to a cardiologist and he gave me a fancy af heart thing to wear for 2 weeks.
    :(

Screw that! Embrace it and go do yoga someplace. Yoga pants and woman are one of my favorite things. Plus I hear chicks dig guys that are secure with themselves

Sometimes it's easier to pick up a new hobby because it's new :notsure: There's a lot to choose from. You can do anything from growing a bonsai garden, whittling, painting, building a ship in bottles, etc...or other things that have been mentioned, just find something that peaks your interest :)

ship in a bottle you say. Something old dudes do I thought.
maybe .. I literally have never worked a steady 40 hour week since I was 16 or so. I would be willing to bet I average 55-60 hours a week

Kidding on the destructive thing, but most have already covered it. I have heard the following to help; meditation, yoga, St. Johns wort (think thats it), and attempting to identify the triggers for the episodes and dealing with those. Always "sounds" easy... GL.
