I ordered my truck without the premium/tech package. Does anyone in the know have an idea of the possibility of installing dual zone? It's the only part of the tech package I was interested in.

If it's as simple as replacing the instrument cluster I'd love to do it. The wife unit would be very happy.

Why bother.. it's not all that great, from what I see.... just different temps coming outta the far right and far left dash vents.... No air from central two, or floor....???

Seems to me to be a dumb-ass feature.... BUT... maybe I have not quite figured it out yet..!! Have not driven long enough in winter cold yet.. we'll see..

My guess is just adding the dual zone controls wouldn't do anything. There are more blend doors built into the housing along with more motors to control them. I would only assume Toyota would leave those out and just have a whole separate unit compared to models with this feature. It would cost 1000's to add this after the fact

    I'm guessing, if it's like my T4R, it'd be a PITA.

I get different temps from inboard & outboard vents as well as floor vents. I'd have to guess there's some (one or more type a valve) air blending device.
