thanks, that is what I assumed that it would just go to the lien-holder and they'd make
    adjustments as needed.

They would get a fine to start if the report is validated, I doubt anyone would know besides the management. Are they still doing this?

So after all this bullshit we get an email today saying NOTHING was cancelled as they said it
was on Friday after the faxes went through and the Manager assured me everything is being
processed for cancellation right now. Now we're told you must come into the dealership to
    cancel the VSA's.

You have to realize if you bought a bunch of products at jacked up prices the dealership stands to lose a bunch of money, thousands of dollars. So of course they are going to make this difficult. Could they scan the form and email it? Sure. But if they make it painful it's possible you'll just say forget it. That's what they are trying.

9/10 times this doesn't work, but if they can save the products 1/10 times that adds up. Just so you can see it from their perspective. Keep on them, just don't say hello to the F&I manager if you see him while your in for service lol.

Dealer makes money off of financing. Cash won't get you the lowest price necessarily.

This is true. The full-cash-in-hand thing only really looks attractive to us on non-certified used cars.

If anything a non certified car is even be better, no special Toyota 2.9% APR for the customer to know about.

If you cancel his $3000 back end, it's going to seriously impact his PRU (per retail unit) gross, which is how he gets paid.

For the used manager, he just cares he is making something on used cars so we have cash up front for the month so we can sell our high-volume new vehicles under invoice.

Not sure what your dealership's pay plan is, but most pay on total gross. I.E the used car manager would get a percent of the front/back/fees of all the used cars, so he has a reason to want everyone to finance. Any well run new car store may advertise cars under invoice, but should not be at a loss overall in the new car dept. A combination of holding on trades and the back end should make up for loss leaders, add in a few salespeople who know how to gross and the new car dept should have not have any cash flow issues...
