I know seahawks fans aren't really bragging about how Wilson is looking like a first ballot HOF'er after playing 4 defenses that average a #21 rank the past four games, right?

In Seattle I've not heard HOF mentioned once. I have heard some of these stats though:

Most wins in his first 4 years than any QB in NFL history
Greatest 4 game stretch in the history of the NFL - Everyone plays shitty teams. #21 isn't that shitty.
Best QBR in the history of the NFL for starting a career
His first 4 years stats wise, pure passing numbers, are better than Brady, Manning, Marino ... all of them.
2nd highest rated QB of all time behind Rodgers

Here's a bunch talking about the first 3 years... it's only better now nearing the end of 4.

    http://www.fieldgulls.com/2015/4/8/8370581/are-wilsons-first-3-years-the-best-in-nfl-history

I think what you're seeing is because the "knock" on Wilson was that he needed a top rated defense and an amazing run game to carry him. Lynch out, Graham out and he is doing what everyone said he couldn't. He's becoming a top 3-4 QB in the league right in front of your eyes.

His last four games have been very impressive. I have to give it to him, but before that he was just a game manager with a pretty passer rating that was afraid to throw an interception. He cost his team multiple games because he wouldn't be aggressive. We finally saw him be aggressive vs Pittsburgh. He and Seahawks fans will have to understand that some days it won't work and he'll throw 3, 4, or sometimes 5 INTs, but if your defense is going to give up 30+ points, it's really the only shot at winning the game.

    That's just ignorance.

"Wilson’s career yards per passing attempt of 7.9 is fourth-best of all QB’s since 1951"

    Game manager?

Yeah, I think the Seahawks have only won one of those games.

We'll see how he does vs Arizona.

Those stats don't mean shit if you're only throwing the ball 15-25 times a game.

With Wilson at QB, the Seahawks have won one game when their defense gave up more than 24 points.

Tony Romo has a better chance of winning an NFL shootout than Wilson.

So stats don't mean shit when their not in your favor? You called him a game manager... he's not a game managers. He puts the ball down the field ALOT. I bet he has one of the highese completion % for long balls in the NFL. He's just not asked to throw a ton.

Yeah he has Wilson beat by a game. If the difference of 1 game is terrible than your just being a douche. I call Brady out all day long for being a whiny bitch but I have never doubted his greatness as a QB. Why do you think I compare Wilson's stats to Brady and not Manning?

Wilson threw 4 interceptions in the 2014 NFC Championship, but his defense doesn't carry the team?

I like Wilson, I've always liked him, I think he has great talent that doesn't necessarily get used by Pete all the time, and he needs to just cut him loose, and let him do what he wants. How many games has it cost the Seahawks because they have handcuffed Russ? At some point, no matter how good your running game is, you have to put the team on your QB's back, especially for how much money he just got signed to.

Correction: Wilson didn't throw those picks. His imaginary friend did.

The difference will be if Wilson manages to improve in subsequent seasons. Until then it's a junk stat, because the other QB's showed improvement over time. Brady and Manning improved over time, with 48% and 41% respectively. Rodgers is at 38%. So they showed improvement in subsequent years. What will be the real litmus test will be if Wilson does too, or if he stays at 18%. But we won't be able to tell for another few years.

Also, while I think Wilson is a good passer, I dont think, passing-wise, he can really be compared to Brady.

I'm still trying to decipher those stats on Reddit that were created by a very confused and almost illiterate Seahawk fan.

That stat table is beyond stupid. The butthurt Seahawk fan that created it got tired of crying when he repeatedly heard that it took Wilson four years to win a game in which his defense allowed more than 24 points, so he cherry picked some stats to include the W-L record in games in which the defense allows 24 or more points and took it farther by looking at only the first 11, which is Wilson's total. He forgot that we're only looking at total wins in these games, not W-L records. No one is expected to have a good record with a defense that is regularly allowing 24+ points, but when a team is put in that position, it's nice to have a chance to win.

In games where the opposing defense allowed more than 24 points, Manning won his first week 15 of his rookie year. Brady won his first week 3 of his first season as a starter (2002). Brees got his first week 6 of his second year, and Aaron Rodgers did it week 2 in his first season as a starter.

Wilson didn't get his first until week 12 of his fourth season.

The numbers are only compared because Wilson has played 11 games. Why would you compare 20, or 30? That wouldn't make sense. He shows you their career numbers and then how they started their career in relation to 11 games... how many times Russel's defense has allowed 24+ points.

    I don't see the problem?
