One can never have too many light bars.
Trying to get up to Squaw this upcoming sunday. Should have nearly 100% open. I just hope the wind isn't too much.

Squaw is the worst resort in Tahoe for wind. Honestly I'd ride alpine before squaw 7 days a week.

Riding Kirkwood tomorrow in the brunt of the storm. Should be fun as long as 88 stays open!

Yes... Squaw is nearly 100% open.. And the base is at like 46 inches right now..

I beg to differ.. We only get 100 mph winds at the top when a storm is a brewing..

What a season. Hit Squaw twice, Heavenly, and Boreal with my kid.

Side note: I'm never going to Boreal again. I've never been surrounded by so many rude people who have no idea what they are doing in my life.

Had an amazing day at Dodge today. Got a solid 3 hours in and my daughter (5) got her first skiing lesson. She LOVED it and wouldn't leave the mountain. Heading back tomorrow to take her up again.

Hey guys, I'm looking to finally purchase skis after years of renting. I am looking for some opinions on good brands, what to look for, as well as thoughts on boots. I'm a black diamond skier, looking for an all around generic slope ski, something that is great for a groomed slope, but could do the occasional fresh powder but I also don't want to sacrifice turning. I know that's a few different skis in one, but just trying to give you an idea of what I'm after.

    Any suggestions are welcome!

I saw the craziest collision at Sierra this past Saturday. Two boarders hit each other so hard that they both did scissor kicks while being parallel to the ground. Pretty bad.

I think I am going to hit Homewood tomorrow. I was there Sunday and it was ok. I'd be hitting Squaw but my brother doesn't want to pay for it.
