Got my gift today. What an awesome surprise after a long workday. @mach1man001 thank you so much. Expectations were exceeded to say the least. I had been kicking myself for forgetting to put the Yeti tumbler on my xmas list.

Maybe next year there can be some requirements the need to be met before you can participate to avoid people like this. I also heard of people participating who don't even currently have tacos.

I'm not sure what the requirements should be in order to make TWSS as good as possible but in my opinion something should be done.

Requiring people to have tacos will never be a thing.

Nor should it. And truthfully I don't care about my giftee's lack of posting and newly registered. Just want him to confirm he actually received it and enjoys it.

We want everyone to say thank you and acknowledge their gifters efforts. People that don't are remembered. We've discussed alternative methods and this year we did encourage members with low counts to consider the other side of the spectrum and visit the forums more often.

It saddens me that someone would not take the time to say thank you. For this is what twss is based upon. Thanks.

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. We expanded huge this year with new participants, we can't expect them to know the flow of us veterans. They may be unaware of this thread entirely.

I give everyone the benefit of the doubt too.

But if you register in mid September, accumulate 3 or 4 posts before the TWSS sign up thread goes out.... how can you be aware of that thread so quickly and not either be aware of, or pursue, this thread?

I can't argue. Stricter requirements have been discussed, but it would require screening of all members. With how inactive I was the months before twss, by some members private suggestions for requirements, I wouldn't have made the cut.

In efforts I attempted to tag everyone as you may have seen. It doesn't appear that it worked. Next step is to Pm everyone. I'll work on it.

Thanks to all who put in the time and effort for this to happen

All you slackers need to step it up. There's a lot of interest in this forum outside of our tacomas. Find the thread with your other hobbies, find a BS thread or chat with your locals.

If you haven't shipped out your gift yet you should have made it a priority shame shame.

If you received and haven't shared your haul then shame on you too. Participate and fulfil the requirement of saying thank you even if you don't post pictures.

@Haslefre I also have been through this. My first son was born at 26 weeks and it's the toughest thing I've had to deal with. If you need anyone to talk to count me in as well. I wish I had someone to help me get through that time in my life. My ex and I both let it consume us and didn't go about things the right way.
