Wait... HH package is MSRP 2330 regardless of (double cab) trim I thought?

    A 7545 (6mt) vs a 7544 (auto) does have a base price difference of 1630 however.

You lose push button start but you gain clutch start cancel which I'm glad I have!

I'm not sure I am smart enough to operate a smart key.

The wait times are much longer for the manual, but I'm glad I waited. In my opinion, the manual is a better driving experience with the Tacoma.

You're nicer than I am. I am just making my wife learn how to drive a manual. She is getting there...

I have a second gen manual and waiting to order a 3rd gen manual. Isn't the 3rd gen manual a lot more car like then the 2nd gen?

I also don't like Toyota making me pay 6-8k more to get manual. My needs dictate a SR DC in 4x4 manual for our needs

    Oh well

Ummm.....why are you paying 6k more or a manual? They are almost 1700 less than the autos. If your dealer is charging 6k more run.

And yes. Much more car like. Super smooth gear engagemwnt, nice feeling clutch, and perceived shorter throws than my 2007.

Agreed, run away from that lazy, greedy, dealer charging you $6,000 more for a MT.

Also, in my opinion the clutch spring on the 2016 is way too soft and "car-like". I prefer the stiffer spring rate in my '96; but, that's maybe that's just what I've become used to driving for 20 years :)

You can only get a manual double cab in a TRD Sport or TRD Offroad trim. He only needs an SR but since he wants manual double cab he'll have to step up to one of the more expensive TRD models.

    7545 and 7543 - about 30000 inv
    7594 - about 26800 inv less auto 25xxx

    So it's almost a $5,000 difference

yea, I'm not familiar on the ATRAC and E Locker, in the rear, but has anyone got stuck in 4LO, 1st gear with both engaged? Also another rant I have is I'm pissed Toyota didn't not carry over the TRD OR AC for the 6MT. I'm stuck with a damn DCSB or a stupid TRD Sport AC with no 4x4 balls compared to what you get with the TRD OR for essentially similar pricing.... Ive actually held off on getting the 16' because I can't decide if the AC>DCSB or other way around... (I use my truck for overlanding/camping in bed)

If you dont need the back seats for passengers then AC>DCSB. If you have kids or passengers then I'd say DCSB is better.

I love your build by the way. I have looked at it often when trying to decide how to install my on board water in my 16.

Well... just a thought. Get a 6mt sport AC, de badge it and get arb air lockers front/rear and new shocks (king or icon). End result will be superior to an AC TRD OR.

With a manual the only difference between sport and OR is atrac and elocker.

You know, if you've got an extra $45k laying around.
