This doesn't seem like such a bad thing. Especially at this time of year. And the extra cash flow is an opportunity to replenish the savings for when there is more daylight to spend it on.

Are you still doing the outa state setup/install before the holidays?

    So. Wyo crew!

I want to do three wyo trips this summer that Id consider kind of meets or get togethers.

    1) marcs desert trip he planned last summer. Because racetruck.

    2) lander: Christina lake is a must. Haven't been there in three years and I have a bone to pick with a couple of the harder spots. Shoshone would be cool but I'm open to exploring other trails. But Christina has to happen.

    3) big horns. I'm starting to draw up a mini almost expedition. Should be super fun and cover a ton of ground. Probably a 3 day trip a least though. Will include the dinosaur tracks I went to last year. Run along the foot hills, because racetruck. Go through hyatville up into shell resivor and then back through Boulder basin. Back to ranger creek road then either Moran creek and up through whillette or stay on ranger and jump to woodchuck pass. Not sure if whillette is open yet. Been close for a few years sadly. I'll confirm that before hand naturally. Then through woodchuck and back on to red grade road and from there I'm not totally sure. Be all dirt though! Maybe tie in copemans into it some how. Or not. Idk yet. Some cool looking lakes off red grade to camp at.

Frankenstein is running good. I'm not going to do any crippling mods so I want to wheel as much as possible. I'm sure I'll go to goose lake with my dad at some point too because I know he wants to go. But that's just a weekend thing but your all welcome to it. Unless my mother wants it family only then..well sorry :luvya:

Anyways. Thoughts? Figure desert trip is first so we can wait for snow and run off from lander and the big horns. Big horns probably 2nd since the run off won't be as big an issue.

    So late/mid May desert run

    June big horns

    July lander

Something like that? Plenty of wiggle room.

August is wide open too. Since I don't have school and the big trip...well..there is no big trip so yea!

Can you tell I'm excited to be back in Wyoming soon? :D

I'm in for all of them unless work steps in the way. First weekend in June is lemons but other than that, should be free.

    Sounds good @Blackdawg

I'm sitting here looking at all the snow we got last night dreaming of next summer dirt time. As long as the coming spring isn't too wet the red desert trip could be pretty early.

@Blackdawg I would like to join the Christina lake run whenever that might be. At this time, I am not sure there is going to be another technician hired this summer to work with me. Depending on when that trip is, I might not be able to make it due to tadpoles :pout:. If there is a technician then hopefully they would be happy to cover my work. I will just assume I won't make it to the other trips. The desert trip would be fun and is close to me but we will see.

As of now I am planning a trip for my spring break something like the 12th-19th. I am still trying to decide on the location. Given the time of the year Wyoming is pretty much off limits due to snow. I might just use this time to go to Utah and enjoy some of the hiking, fishing and light wheeling the state has to offer. If anyone wants to join in on this feel free to either talk to me on here or PM me for my number. Ill be making the plan/route over break.

As of now I will also be doing rock therapy. The only thing that can get in the way is if my boss says no (doubtful) or if another family event is planned (doubtful, but a possibility). I have thought of planning trips near it and showing up for a day or two but have decided to just embrace it. It's not my typical scene but I do like to party and there are plenty of guys I would like to meet. Lizzy will be coming too and she would enjoy the atmosphere. If anyone is interested in convoying over for that, let me know.

Cool man. I figured the dates for these trips will be decided not last minute but no more then a few weeks out. Keep it flexible. Hopefully you can make it! Get some scars on that fancy armor haha

Rock therapy will be cool. My dad wants to do that too but I never have the money for it. So I'm out for sure.

Seems like a relatively cheap trip outside of gas?

Dang, must suck to suck (gas) :p. Was that during high gas prices? Seems like a ridiculous amount of gas.

Was around $3 a gallon I think. Can't remember. I got about 15 on the hwy and probably 8-10 Offroad. Was just before Frank turned into a pig.

Big Horns trip sounds fun. I know I say every year I want to go on one of these haha

Think I'll be doing the FJ Summit this year and see how that is. Quite a few past wheeling buddies are going.

Well, Ill cruise at 65 and enjoy those 18-20 mpg's. I think it is 6ish hours, so two tanks of gas to get there. I would guess $300 in gas at a minimum and $400 at a maximum.

Yea see that's not bad for you. Too expensive for me though. Plus if I don't get my alignment fixes I wont have front tires when I get there. Lol
