Up here in CDA (north idaho) we havent had any snow this season yet basically.

 

In the local news magazine for my neighborhood, they actually tell people to not be Butthurt over it. Every year, says same thing about snow possibly being pushed in to driveways while cleaning the street. Can't say it's not kind of frustrating after I shovel my good sized driveway. But it is what it is.

 

I feel ya,after i get finished plowing the town i work in i have to go home and do my own driveway that has been packed in by Penn DOT (state road problems)

 

Yes sir ended up with 8 total inch's of snow at my house and 12 inch's at my dads should get around another 3 inch's before the weekend and then im going wheeling.

 

Penn DOT is a different animal. I think they enjoy that shit. LOL. The times I've had to deal with them, most of them are angry dicks.

 

Probably frustrated,plowing snow for hours on end gets to ya.

 

Meh. I have no sympathy for misguided anger.

 

Not saying all workers are like this, but the local DPW workers and plowers, as well as the local contractors that plow for the town, are roughed edged guys. Most of them have worked in construction for their entire lives and are used to being very blunt and to the point....carries over into most interactions.

Have had more than one Town resident calling up saying a laborer was rude to them, when I know they are just like that all the time.

 

I personally have no issues with guys like that. I grew up and worked with guys and women for that matter, just like that. I'm talking about straight up assholes who don't want to do their job.

For the record. I'm not Butthurt. Just my opinion.

 

In my experience,driver has been working all night ,resident comes out all bright eyed and bushy tailed and want some sorta special treatment,LOOk at your neighbors driveway it has snow in it too,if not he already shoveled it out.We usually dont single YOU out,but they think we do

 

Yeah. That's F'd.

I'm talking about... Call Penn DOT to plow and salt state road. Penn DOT: "that's not ours, we won't do it" Contact local municipality. "That's definitely state, call them back" Call Penn DOT. "I told you it's not ours. Go F yourself. Me: You go F yourself! Get a truck out there or go shovel salt onto it by hand. IDGAF , it's yours"

Call ends with me laughing. And Them angry and on their way to salt road.

 

Some municipalities take responsibility for state roads.Where i used to work we did every road in the town including 4 state roads.

 

Not around here. If it's state, it's state. And vice versa. Even if they have to pass over one to get to the other. All about that salty money.

 

Over near me the borough doesn't start plowing until like 11am lol

 

Ouch. I can't complain. Keep the streets where I live pretty clear. But I know exactly when I hit the city line! LOL.

 

My parents neighborhood was/is ALWAYS the first to get cleared around us, guess it helps when a couple of the senior people that work for the township live in the neighborhood haha.
