Hey all new to the Columbus area, just moved up from NC a few weeks ago. I have a bestop soft top I dont need and will probably give away when ever I move all my stuff up to Ohio. I am however looking for a MGM shortbed hard shell, also a set of OEM roof racks. Im an avid bow hunter as is my wife and to make the 2 hour drive down south to our hunting land and tote 250lbs of dogs and our gear a hard top will free up the back seat, and get our gear up in my Subaru bubble on the racks.

Thank you its good to be here. I really like the area. I'm looking for houses with some land to bring the rest of my animals up ( Horses and chickens) and to hunt on near columbus so I dont have to drive down by Ironton to hunt. Id like a place I can hit after work. haha I bought the bestop so I could run back and forth between nc and pa and carry my daughters luggage. I got a great deal for it $150 a few years ago from another military TW member. I dont use it so ill pass it on to someone who will. I hunt everything I can. But I mainly hunt deer and turkey. I like upland bird hunting when Im back on my families farm in Missouri. Also like to shoot groundhogs and coyotes. Shoot 3 gun matches, IDPA, Long range precision matches ect. And shoot my Mathews Heli-m. We went to an indoor archery range the other night they do 3d matches there so I may hit one sometime.

LOL, nothing to see. Basic as basic gets. 16" with an Eotech and a 2 point sling. It's a working rifle, not some faggy barbie shit. I suppose if you really want to see the rest I can take a photo when I go back to work tomorrow.

    It's clean enough.

    The most dangerous game.

Why do you think he is offering the bestop? It's the bait.

Better.......but I'd still rather have mine than your auto sear. Auto sears are needed in a military setting #firesuperiority. Outside of that....it's a waste of ammo at the range.

Ah, I've never even fired it. I'm just fucking around. I took that picture at work the other night after seeing his post. It's one of several at the department but they were pulled from the cruisers years ago. You cut one gangbanger in half with a burst and the bosses get all salty.

My patrol rifle was a self built Del Ton M4 upper, Stag lower, Del Ton parts kit. Extremely basic. Good solid gun though. Just sold it and picking up a Colt LE6920 tomorrow. I am about the only gun person on earth who has zero interest in building up a rifle. Open sights, sling, and Hogue grip are my only mods. I always laugh at the guys who bolt tons of shit onto their rifle and then can barely qualify with it. Plus for the kind of work we do with a rifle I think open sights zeroed at 75 yards make the most sense. I've never even pointed my rifle at someone more than 50 feet away.

We use a 100 yd zero. Everything under 100 yds, PAPI is under 1" or so. PAPI never goes positive (technically it does but its about a tenth of an inch). A 75 yd shot with open sights isn't as easy as one might think....especially if you substitute that paper man sized target for a target the size of a softball. Realistically you should be able to hit a 2"-3" target at any given range 100 yds or less. Open sights may be capable of holding a 2-3" group at 100 but it requires a GOOD shooter to do that. In law enforcement it's more practical to have some sort of optic mounted. This essentially makes the sighting "dummy proof". My T1 can do 2MOA easy. At a range day with a high round count I can get it under 1" due to familiarity. I don't have an optic cause I'm a dummy, its a lot easier! I agree with you that its funny to see everyones "Tacticool" rifle though. I am a huge fan of the 6920. Its hard to beat but personally I feel you can get a much better rifle for cheaper by building.

Yeah, I understand on the optic thing. Call me old school though. I just don't like them. I have used them and I can't explain why I don't; I just don't.

    $800 LE for a NIB Colt 6920. I'm okay with that. :)

He was folding them up on trees all day. Have your friend email him, you never know. He actually lurks here and I doubt he gives a shit if I put his email out there. He's the sticker guy, too.
