    Thanks guys!!! I'm pumped.

Dremel's are cheap and you have more than enough screw to work with to get a nice slit in. Might as well do it right since you have it apart and a dremel is a great tool to have in your arsenal when working on these trucks.

I would soak it with penitrating fluid for a day. Please make no sparks using dremel.

I would get a set of left handed drill bits or an easy out, as soon as it grabs it should back right out

I've already considered buying a dremel in the past, since it would have been useful on my last car. I really should just get one. I'm not just comfortable with the idea of doing it, as explained below.

Would I need penetrating fluid? I suppose it could help with the tightness, but the screw is brand new, so no rust of any sort. Yeah the risk of sparking has new nervous. Not only should it just make me nervous in general, but I've never used a dremel before so I don't want my inexperience to blow my truck up and deform my face forevermore. This is why I'm hoping I can deem it okay with 7 and avoid it. I'm gonna have a

I'm only half ways done. I need to pull the whole harness and replace with a new one. This is what happens when you don't do your homework enough before buying a motor. If I would of got a motor form an 02 then I would of been fine with my harness. But since I went with an 03 Im missing plugs for the ECU. Long story but it's a one step at a time project.

Even still, I gotta hand it to you for tackling a job like that. Replacing a motor is far beyond the mechanical experience I have. I find this sort of stuff impressive.
I assume this is not your only vehicle, if it's a project. My truck's my only rig, but luckily my landlady lets me use her vehicle when I want. Still, I'd have to have my truck out of commission for long.
Left handed drill bits, eh? Looking into them now, and I am impressed. I may consider this route, since it makes quite a bit of sense and has a much less chance of spark than a dremel.

Hadn't thought of it, but the only saws I recall seeing here are old and rusted. Plus, the workable area ins't large. Though I suppose I could give it a try though. If it starts to show signs of working, it may just be the easiest, most readily available fix.

@sente3 Well it's my DD but my wife has been getting up at 3-4 in the morning for the last few months to take me to work then my boss/buddy been giving me a ride home. We are making it work but the truck really needs to get running soon. 3-4 months with out a truck has been killing me. So I have to get this thing running no matter what.

@SilverGhost Sounds pretty rough. But at least you're not that dumbass who takes taxis or something absurd like that. You'd be poor in no time. I assume it's too far to walk? I'm about 6 miles, and I've spent many many months taking that walk, in well below 0 weather. I'm an idiot, I know. You've got a much better situation than that. It's great of your wife to be willing to get up so early to get you to work.
You'll get it done before long. No doubts. But a little added hustle never hurts.

Oh and as for using a saw on the screw, it doesn't seem so. Only 2 saws have any teeth left on them and they are both too long to work in the area. Plus, they aren't very sharp anyway. Them left hand bits sound pretty nice. Autozone.com says my local store has them in stock. I'm thinking I should give them a try.

I think it's cause I saw you put redline hood struts in the 2wd and then put them in that one and I got confused. Or I was surfing TW drunk.

If you gotta be out anyway may as well pick up a hack saw. I keep one in the truck all the time for times I can't use the grinder.
