Hey forced induction folks... I need your help.

I am patiently (somewhat) awaiting the Magnuson release of the S/C for the 4.0l. In the meantime, I'm addressing a few other projects. Specifically, I am dealing with installing a Switch Pro's SP-8100 and associated electric. I have a 2010 DCLB Sport 4x4.

Here's where I need your help:
What areas are (or should be) Verböden for me to add accessories under the hood so as not to complicate the install of a supercharger? I want to get started with electrical accessories install, but I don't want to have to undo any of this work when Magnuson releases the 4.0l s/c.

Under hood pics would be helpful (along with your advice).

    Thx!

If past kits are any indication, the mechanical installation will be identical to the TRD supercharger. Plenty of underhood pics from the last 10 years.

In addition, leave room for an aftermarket PCV oil catch can, which tends to crowd the driver's side inner fender area that's popular for electrical add-ons.

I wasn't really asking anything. I should've wrote 'So, now it's Magnuson... eh?'

Do you know the proposed price point on the, 'ahem', retro kits?

It's the "eh?," it get me every time.

I have heard no "official" pricing from LCE or Magnuson...rumors, but no factual pricing on either the unit or the kit. At SEMA I was told that I could expect the unit/kit to return to a 'sane price' similar to a year or more ago, perhaps even a slight reduction in price.

... as the world should be.

I'm going to phone Toyota Canada out of curiosity for pricing and availability (if there are any left here).

    Stay tuned.

Yup...and that's basically what the Magnuson rep said in slightly more 'political speak' when I spoke with him.

Nice set up Vassily, and I think that you have the TRD logos covered.

I can't imagine the fit kit is included... or is it? It's not clear in the description.

Well, according to Justus, Magnuson was the company that put the fit kit together for TRD, so...

Ya, but look at the price!! $2995 for the blower and kit? That's about 40% of the original price, if I'm not mistaken.

Are you suggesting they will not release the 4.0l s/c? I'd beg to differ. They don't put reps at major trade shows to discuss products that aren't coming to market. Magnuson has zero reason NOT to release the product. As of early November, my understanding is that they were making tweaks to the software side of the 4.0l s/c system.

They are coming...hopefully on a schedule that's faster than ARBs Snorkel delivery.

They are releasing it, just waiting CARB approval. Don't mind RockLobster, he's the resident Supercharger naysayer.

Lol, ok. So would that explain the taco chargers they've already released? No doubt things can change in the business world, but I highly doubt Magnuson (who is already in the business of meeting EPA and CARB regulations) is looking to avoid using tooling and supply chains that they've already established or own for further profit. Guess we'll agree to disagree.
